The Rad Matters podcast is the direct result of the snowboard industry being so far off track for the last 20 years that I had to start a podcast. Oftentimes a viable solution is masked by my bombastic reactions to the selfish nature of the snowboarding community/industry. The snowboarding community/industry oughtI to be burned to the ground but until then I’ll sniff out the weak-links like a God damn truffle pig. I’ve no bones to pick with anyone nor do I have skin in the game at this point.

    RM020Jobs Does the snowboard industry hire from within it’s own pool of pro snowboarders? It’d be a lot cooler if it did. Be it 2yrs, 5, 10 or 25 years as a pro snowboarder either way it’ll get you nowhere. Whether a dude was filming or competing, whatever brand was paying for that is losing out on their investment by not hiring/utilizing the dudes they’ve invested in. It’s like training a pilot for years only to hire someone w/out his ‘training’ because they look better on paper. One would think that riding as a professional snowboarder and caring at least as much as whoever cares the most about snowboarding would be sufficient.     RM018TedMartinTalksFISISFTQ+  So this conversation happened seven years ago I think, Ted Was on Maui visiting family,  so I contacted him on Facebook or whatever. My neighbor at the time on Door of Faith Road, He was in the field of filming, audio but more lighting. Either way we had a conversation and I told him about Ted and that I thought it would be really cool to do an interview with him considering our backgrounds etc. He said set it up and film it, I invited Ted over to my house. We met at Baldwin Beach and it was probably a 45 minute drive from there, it was f*****g deep. I’m sure Ted had some trepidation at the time following me 45 minutes off the grid on Maui North Shore.
