Look we all know that there are *a lot* of podcasts in the world - prolly like 60 or or 70 or something. “Wild Nights” is God-tier elite and needs to be in your rotation. Here’s why:
1.) The host has a very professional, soothing delivery that you normally only get from like professional news anchors and radio actors well-practiced in reading copy. But...
2.) …that is balanced out by a warm and conversational manner which makes you feel like you’re hanging out with a super cool friend with whom you’d like to do a J of weed (I totally have a very extensive history of recreational drug use).
3.) She doesn’t talk over/interrupt her guests (my biggest podcast pet peeve), because…
4.) … there is clearly a great deal of empathy and genuine interest in their stories. Rocky has the Drew Barrymore thing of surpassing the transactional nature you feel from a lot of interviewers.
5.) You can feel the sweat equity put into the show. Knowing that the host cares and put TIME and EFFORT and FEELING into the writing, the audio, the cues, and the production means a lot! Hashtag ROCKY DOIN’ WORK.
In summary, why am I giving “Wild Nights” five stars? Cause The Man won’t let me give it six.
