    The Art of Healing

    You have a specific thing you are supposed to be doing and by not doing it, you are not aligned. This mis-alignment is not a “bad” thing, it's the map to your happiness and it tells you specifically how and why you are out of alignment, as well as how to get back. This separation from our ideal causes dis-eases in our body, whether it's pain, lack of movement or motion, or internal or external issues. Dis-ease will go away if you are aligned soul, mind, body, and future. But, how can you know all the things about those things? By Listening to Waking Up with Zen! Of course!

    Tending the Ox

    This week was the beginning of the Chinese New Year and we are now in the Year of the Ox. Today on Waking up with Zen! I wanted to celebrate this special occasion by telling you a Zen allegory about an Ox. It is called, “The Tending of the Ox,” which actually starts us off right at the beginning of Noah and the Flood, and will take us the rest of the way through Noah's story. The Tending the Ox allegory is broken up into ten images and poetic verses. The ten oxherding pictures describe the Zen path to enlightenment. The images tell the story of a young oxherder who becomes enlightened and how he came to be an INDIGOS, Independent Non-Dominating Intuitive Governing One's Self. His quest will lead him to tame, train, and subdue a lost ox.

    The PRIME Effects of Belief

    Today on Waking Up with Zen! I will be reinforcing this same truth the Container determines the Creation by showing you why our answers to the container matter so much. Our belief about the container we exist will have five major effects on us. We can remember this by the acronym PRIME. The PRIME Effects of Belief are Perspective, Responsibility, Intention, Motivation, and Expectation. Our beliefs, or our committed answers, effect how we see life, our perspective; what roles we take on, responsibility; what we are trying to create, intention; why we would bother, motivation; and what we actually think will happen, expectation. Today we will see how the container effected Cain and Abel and their whole lineage and put into perspective once again how our thoughts create the Container and essentially our entire lives.

    Well, it's the Ouroboros all over again! Except it's from the gnostic perspective this time. Since we've eaten of the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil and we have been separated from our enlightened selves, it is our job now to shed our Manufractured Ego, and our childhood answers, to be reborn into our Enlightened Ego, by choosing our ideal answers for ourselves.
