Helping high-performing families & teens stay balanced in life w/ Dr. Carla Caturia (Elite Peak Performance Coach)

About Dr. Carla Caturia: "I know what it’s like to be the "dream student" who is secretly a pressure cooker on the inside. At 14, I was a high-achiever with straight A’s and varsity sports, yet I possessed zero emotional tools to manage the anxiety of keeping it all together. I spent the next two decades chasing a "winning facade," achieving the jet-setting lifestyle and the elite career, only to realize that success on paper is meaningless without a foundation of internal control. It took a total life reset in my 40s - leaving my career in school administration - to finally rebuild my emotional foundation from scratch. Today, I am the mentor I needed when I was 14.As an elite peak performance coach and the CEO of The House of Rise, I have dedicated over 20 years to helping high-achieving families trade performance-driven pressure for identity-based confidence. Having worked with over 10,000 tweens, teens, and young adults, I’ve seen firsthand how the "perfect kid" illusion can lead to silent suffering and eventual burnout. My approach is deeply research-based, utilizing my unique RISE Model to address the root causes of emotional pressure while offering families practical strategies for calm, collaborative connection. I have shared these frameworks on stages with thousands of parents and teens, helping them move beyond "talk therapy" into a state of authentic, empowered performance." Dr. Carla CaturiaWhy Book Dr. Carla:The "Unlearning" Expert: She speaks to the heart of every parent’s fear - that their child’s current success is actually a "false start" for a future burnout. Tactical Resilience: She moves beyond "talk therapy" into identity-based confidence and emotional regulation. The Bridge: She understands the school system from the inside as a former administrator and the high-achiever’s mind from her own journey as a varsity athlete and elite professional. Addiction, Loss & Grief - Interview w/ Katie Rizzo (Author & Grief Mentor)

Katie Rizzo’s memoir, The Trimesters of Grief, a hybrid memoir and prescriptive guide, reframes the experience of losing a child to opioid addiction through the lens of gestation - moving readers through invisible, undeniable and public stages of grief toward the lifelong work of living with loss blending raw journal entries, original poetry and pools. Pitched for readers of It’s OK that You’re Not OK and Beautiful Boy, with a foreword by Colin Campbell. Rizzo holds two masters: one from Yale University and another from the University of Colorado School of Medicine. For the last fifteen years, Katie Rizzo taught Anatomy and Biology at her local community college and public high school. Her short stories have been published in literary journals and in anthologies. In September of 2024, Katie Rizzo lost her firstborn son to addiction. In a tragic irony, she found that grief mirrored pregnancy. After joining grief groups, listening to podcasts, and reading everything she could get her hands on, Katie carried her grief as long as she could. Finally, she found ways to help cope with the trauma and deliver this ‘grief baby.’ Her memoir, The Trimesters of Grief, will be released on October 6 by Koehler Books, with Blackstone Publishing handling audio licensing. None of Them Are You - A book of Poems is being published by Extra Extra Publishing on Dia de los Muertos, November 1st. Anxiety & Insomnia Expert - Interview w/Tauna Young (Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner & NEUROVANA Founder)

Tauna Young is a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, anxiety and nervous system expert, and founder of Neurovana Calm - a company dedicated to expanding access to innovative, evidence-based approaches for anxiety, insomnia, and nervous system dysregulation. After years of working directly with patients, Tauna noticed a recurring pattern: many mental health treatment plans focused primarily on managing symptoms while overlooking the underlying state of the nervous system itself. That realization led her to explore more integrative, physiology-based approaches to care, including Cranial Electrotherapy Stimulation (CES), an FDA-cleared technology designed to support nervous system regulation.Today, Tauna speaks nationally about anxiety, nervous system health, modern mental health treatment plans, and the importance of giving patients more informed, personalized care options. Her approach bridges clinical credibility with compassionate education, helping audiences understand the connection between physiology, emotional health, sleep, stress, and long-term resilience. Rather than positioning treatment as medication versus alternatives, Tauna advocates for expanding the mental health toolkit - creating treatment plans that may include therapy, medication, CES, lifestyle interventions, and other evidence-based supports tailored to the individual.Known for her calm, conversational communication style, Tauna makes neuroscience approachable and empowering for both practitioners and everyday audiences alike. Her mission is simple: help people feel less overwhelmed, more informed, and more hopeful about what’s possible in mental health care today. https://neurovanacalm.com/
