132: How to stop striving and start living as a child of God | BONUS Episode

Have you ever felt like you weren't worthy of what God has given you? Or held back from doing something because you were afraid of what other people might think?  Last Sunday, I was able to share this message at my local church and thought you might enjoy it. I share a lesson I learned from an unexpected source: an all-inclusive resort in Jamaica! What started as a vacation became a reminder that we can spend so much time trying to earn God's love and approval that we forget to enjoy what He's already given us! We'll talk about receiving God's grace, learning to approach Him as our loving Father, and recognizing that we already belong in His kingdom. I'll also challenge you to stop hiding the gifts God has placed in you and start using them to bless others. In this episode, we'll explore: Why you don't have to earn God's love or prove you're worthy of it. How to stop striving for what God has already freely given you. Why you belong in God's family and can approach Him with confidence. How fear and concern about what others think can keep you from using your spiritual gifts. Why it's time to stop being a spectator and start participating in what God is doing. Scriptures mentioned: Ephesians 2:8–9, Romans 8:15–16, Ephesians 2:19, Hebrews 4:16, Romans 8:32, and Ephesians 1:3. My challenge to you: Start noticing where fear, anxiety, or the need to prove yourself is holding you back. Ask yourself whether you're receiving the freedom God has given you and using the gifts He's placed in you. You belong. You are loved. And the gifts God has given you are meant to bless others.
