Message Notes: 9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the patient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength. – Revelation 1v9-16 (ESV) “A man says to me, 'Can you explain the seven trumpets of the Revelation?' No, but I can blow one in your ear, and warn you to escape from the wrath to come.” – Charles Spurgeon About John: - He’s our brother - Partner in the tribulation - Exiled to a penal island called Patmos - “On account of the word of God” - He was in the Spirit (on the Lord’s day) 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet 11 saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sardis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.” – Revelation 1v10-11 (ESV) Living for Jesus… 1. Living for Jesus starts with turning to Him 12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. — Revelation 1v12-13 (ESV) Bear fruit in keeping with repentance. – Matthew 3v8 (ESV) I consider that the chief dangers which confront the coming century will be religion without the Holy Ghost, Christianity without Christ, forgiveness without repentance, salvation without regeneration, politics without God, and heaven without hell. – WILLIAM BOOTH 2. Living for Jesus is fueled by knowing Him 14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. — Revelation 1v14-15 (ESV) HIS HEAD - POWER AND AUTHORITY HIS EYES - HOLINESS IN PERFECTNESS “Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest and repent.” – Revelation 3:19 (ESV) HIS FEET - HE’S COMING WITH JUDGEMENT HIS VOICE - HIS DIVINE STANDARD HIS HAND - STRENGTH AND HONOR HIS FACE - INTIMACY & INSTRUCTION In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shining in full strength. – Revelation 1v16 (ESV) For the word of God is living and active, sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing to the division of soul and of spirit, of joints and of marrow, and discerning the thoughts and intentions of the heart. — Hebrews 4v12 (ESV) 3. Living for Jesus means listening to Jesus. Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples. — John 13v35 (NLT) If you love me, you will keep my commandments. — John 14v15 (ESV) 17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. - Revelation 1v17-18 (ESV) Listen to me, O Jacob, and Israel, whom I called! Lets share Good News together. To partner with us financially visit www.gospelchurch.co/give or text the word "FRESH" to 94000. Message Notes: So if you consider me a partner, welcome him as you would me. (18)And if he has wronged you in any way, or owes you anything, charge that to my account. (19) I, Paul, write this with my own hand: I will repay it — not to mention to you that you owe me even your very self. (20)Yes, brother, may I benefit from you in the Lord; refresh my heart in Christ. (21)Since I am confident of your obedience, I am writing to you, KNOWING that you will do EVEN MORE than I say. (22) Meanwhile, also prepare a guest room for me, since I hope that through your prayers I will be restored to you. —Philemon 17-21 (CSB) At that moment the Lord turned and looked at Peter. Suddenly, the Lord’s words flashed through Peter’s mind: “Before the rooster crows tomorrow morning, you will deny three times that you even know me.” - Luke 22:61 (NLT) (14) This was now the third time Jesus appeared to his disciples after he was raised from the dead. (15) When they had finished eating, Jesus said to Simon Peter, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me more than these?" "Yes, Lord," he said, "you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my lambs." (16) Again Jesus said, "Simon son of John, do you truly love me?" He answered, "Yes, Lord, you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Take care of my sheep." (17) The third time he said to him, "Simon son of John, do you love me?" Peter was hurt because Jesus asked him the third time, "Do you love me?" He said, "Lord, you know all things; you know that I love you." Jesus said, "Feed my sheep. - John 21: 14-18 (NIV) Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. - Ephesians 4:31-32 So what’s are THE SPIRITUAL fruits that we must have as believers on dealing with a brother or sister who has wronged you? 1. Love “Love is our trademark.” “by this all people will know you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” - John 13:35 (ESV) True love is not appealing. True love is on the contrary of our world view (I’m only going to love those that love me.) If I speak in tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but not love, I am nothing. If I give away all I have, and if I deliver up my body to be burned, but have not love, I gain nothing. Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. - 1 Corinthians 13:1–8a (ESV) 2. Forbearance (meaning self-control and restraining from taking action) The Lord will fight for you while you (only need to) keep silent and remain calm: - Exodus 14:14 God knows how to deal with our situations “My dear brothers and sisters, take not of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, 20. Because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. 21. Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you which can save you.” - James 1:19 - 21 “Be quick to listen to God’s thoughts on a matter, slow to speak your own point of view, and slow to anger, you should not like what God has to say in contrast to your own human perspective.” - Dr. Tony Evans 3. Gentleness Let your gentle spirit (your graciousness, unselfish, mercy, tolerance, and patience) be known to all people. The Lord is near. - Philippians 4:5 (AMP) I will say to the Lord,”My refuge and my fortress, My God, in whom I trust!” - Psalm 91:2 WHAT GOD RESTORES HE MAKES BETTER!

See that you are not alarmed, for this must take place, but the end is not yet. 7 For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom, and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places. 8 All these are but the beginning of the birth pains. – Matthew 24v3-8 (ESV) Other important things Jesus says: No one knows when, not even the angels (v.36) As the days of Noah were so it will be (v37-38) His coming will be like a thief in the night (v43) We should be ready for his coming (v44) FURTHER STUDY - DANIEL 7 (about 600 years before Jesus) 13 “I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven there came one like a son of man, and he came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before him. 14 And to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him; his dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. – Daniel 7v13-14 (ESV) gospelchurch.co/podcast What should i do until the end? 1. Message Notes: 20 Peter turned and saw the disciple whom Jesus loved following them, the one who also had leaned back against him during the supper and had said, “Lord, who is it that is going to betray you?” 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” 23 So the saying spread abroad among the brothers that this disciple was not to die; yet Jesus did not say to him that he was not to die, but, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you?” — John 21v20-23 (ESV) Your attention is your most valuable resource 8 Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. 9 Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. — 1 Peter 5v8-9 (ESV) Types of “driving” distractions: Visual distraction Cognitive distraction Manual distraction The difference between technology and slavery is that slaves are fully aware that they are not free. — Nassim Taleb 21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” — John 21v21-22 (ESV) Some moments expose your weakness, others reveal your strength. Peter’s moments distracted by the storm cutting off the soldiers ear denying Jesus three times The godly may trip seven times, but they will get up again. But one disaster is enough to overthrow the wicked. — Proverbs 24v16 (NLT) never going back… 1. I’m committed to going forward 1 After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way. 2 Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. 3 Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing. — John 21v1-3 (ESV) Your comfort is your coffin Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, — Philippians 3v13 (ESV) 2. I’m convinced God is working in my life 15 “Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing but inwardly are ravenous wolves.16 You will recognize them by their fruits. Are grapes gathered from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?17 So, every healthy tree bears good fruit, but the diseased tree bears bad fruit. — Matthew 7v15-17 (ESV) 3. I’m convicted about my walk with God 18 Truly, truly, I say to you, when you were young, you used to dress yourself and walk wherever you wanted, but when you are old, you will stretch out your hands, and another will dress you and carry you where you do not want to go.” 19 (This he said to show by what kind of death he was to glorify God.) And after saying this he said to him, “Follow me.” — John 21v18-19 (ESV) Christianity isn’t a spectator sport… it’s army enlistment Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? You follow me!” — John 21v22 (ESV) We have many organizers, but few agonizers; many players and payers, few pray-ers; many singers, few clingers; lots of pastors, few wrestlers; many fears, few tears; much fashion, little passion; many interferers, few intercessors; many writers, but few fighters. Failing here, we fail everywhere. - Leonard Ravenhill

Message Notes: Not that I have already reached the goal or am already perfect, but I make every effort to take hold of it because I also have been taken hold of by Christ Jesus. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and reaching forward to what is ahead, I pursue as my goal the prize promised by God’s heavenly call in Christ Jesus. Therefore, let all of us who are mature think this way. And if you think differently about anything, God will reveal this also to you. In any case, we should live up to whatever truth we have attained. - Philippians 3:12-16 CSB All memories can be moments but all moments can't be ascertained as memories as all of them aren't stored in memory or they aren't relatively memorable as those moments which are stored as indelible memories. - Unknown We know that all things work together for the good of those who love God, who are called according to his purpose. - Romans 8:28 CSB 1.The Past Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, and see, the new has come! - 2 Corinthians 5:17 CSB Don't be bound by the past and its failures. But don't forget its lessons either. - Billy Graham 2. The Present But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be provided for you. Therefore don’t worry about tomorrow, because tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. - Matthew 6:33-34 3. The Future For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. - Jeremiah 29:11 I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]. - Philippians1:6 AMP And I am convinced that nothing can ever separate us from God’s love. Neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither our fears for today nor our worries about tomorrow—not even the powers of hell can separate us from God’s love. No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord. - Romans 8:38-39 NLT Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. - Philippians 4:8 ESV

Message Notes: 7 Jesus withdrew with his disciples to the sea, and a great crowd followed, from Galilee and Judea 8 and Jerusalem and Idumea and from beyond the Jordan and from around Tyre and Sidon. When the great crowd heard all that he was doing, they came to him.9 And he told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, lest they crush him, 10 for he had healed many, so that all who had diseases pressed around him to touch him. 11 And whenever the unclean spirits saw him, they fell down before him and cried out, “You are the Son of God.” 12 And he strictly ordered them not to make him known. — Mark 3v7-12 (ESV) IF THE DEVIL CAN’T MAKE YOU BAD, HE’LL MAKE YOU BUSY 1 Now the serpent was more crafty than any other beast of the field that the Lord God had made. He said to the woman, “Did God actually say, ‘You shall not eat of any tree in the garden’?” 2 And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees in the garden, 3 but God said, ‘You shall not eat of the fruit of the tree that is in the midst of the garden, neither shall you touch it, lest you die.’” — Genesis 3v1-3 (ESV) SATAN DECEIVES… And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. — 2 Corinthians 11v14 (ESV) SATAN DISTURBS… 7 So Jesus again said to them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep. 8 All who came before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep did not listen to them. 9 I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture. 10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. 11 I am the good shepherd. When the great crowd heard all that he was doing, they came to him. — Mark 3v7-8 (ESV) 1 O Lord, my heart is not lifted up; my eyes are not raised too high; I do not occupy myself with things too great and too marvelous for me. 2 But I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with its mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me. — Psalm 131v1-2 (ESV) 2. Solitude (intentional withdrawal) And he told his disciples to have a boat ready for him because of the crowd, lest they crush him, — Mark 3v9 (ESV) Three steps to solitude: a) Find a Place b) Know the People c) Rest with Purpose 15 But now even more the report about him went abroad, and great crowds gathered to hear him and to be healed of their infirmities. 16 But he would withdraw to desolate places and pray. — Luke 5v15-16 (ESV) 3. Sacrifice (eternal impact) 13 And he went up on the mountain and called to him those whom he desired, and they came to him. 14 And he appointed twelve (whom he also named apostles) so that they might be with him and he might send them out to preach 15 and have authority to cast out demons. — Mark 3v13-15 (ESV)

Message Notes: 8 Accordingly, though I am bold enough in Christ to command you to do what is required, 9 yet for love's sake I prefer to appeal to you—I, Paul, an old man and now a prisoner also for Christ Jesus— 10 I appeal to you for my child, Onesimus,[b] whose father I became in my imprisonment. 11 (Formerly he was useless to you, but now he is indeed useful to you and to me.) 12 I am sending him back to you, sending my very heart. 13 I would have been glad to keep him with me, in order that he might serve me on your behalf during my imprisonment for the gospel, 14 but I preferred to do nothing without your consent in order that your goodness might not be by compulsion but of your own accord. 15 For this perhaps is why he was parted from you for a while, that you might have him back forever, 16 no longer as a bondservant but more than a bondservant, as a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. – Philemon 8-16 (ESV) because I hear of your love and of the faith that you have toward the Lord Jesus and for all the saints, — Philemon 5 (ESV) So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. — Galatians 6v10 (ESV) The quality of your relationships are determined by how you handle conflict. 15 “You shall not give up to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you. 16 He shall dwell with you, in your midst, in the place that he shall choose within one of your towns, wherever it suits him. You shall not wrong him. — Deuteronomy 23v15-16 (ESV) Good sense makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense. – Proverbs 19v11 (ESV) The effects of unforgiveness: Bitterness Isolation Distrust Fear / Worry Depression Hindered perception You can’t conquer what you don’t confront. What does Forgiveness do? 1. Forgiveness changes me 12 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. — Colossians 3v12-13 (ESV) The Types of Forgiveness: Detached forgiveness - reduction in negative feelings but no reconciliation in the relationship Limited forgiveness - reduction in negative feelings, partial restoration, with less emotions Full forgiveness - total cessation of negative feelings, relationship is fully restored Forgiveness frees you from needing to get even. 2. Forgiveness is a choice 13 I would have been glad to keep him with me, in order that he might serve me on your behalf during my imprisonment for the gospel, 14 but I preferred to do nothing without your consent in order that your goodness might not be by compulsion but of your own accord. – Philemon 13-14 (ESV) Forgiveness means you don’t bring up what someone did anymore… When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come. — John 16v33 (ESV) 3. Forgiveness is Christlike 16 no longer as a bondservant but more than a bondservant, as a beloved brother—especially to me, but how much more to you, both in the flesh and in the Lord. 17 So if you consider me your partner, receive him as you would receive me. — Philemon 16-17 (ESV)
