    Developing an Investment Philosophy, Starting a Paper Trading Fund, and Following Worldwide Markets: A Chat With the Ambitious Eli Joyner

    A lot of crazy things have happened in financial markets over the past few weeks: we had company earnings reports, a Reddit-fueled market frenzy, and the continuation of meme culture firmly entrenching itself into the realm of Wall Street. For this week's episode, I wanted to interview a guest who has a background in fundamental analysis and who brings a fresh perspective on finance and investing. Eli Joyner, a friend I met through a student-run hedge fund at Baruch College, fits these criteria to a tee. Eli and I had a wonderful conversation that spanned several topics, including his thoughts on crafting an investment philosophy and how certain parts of the U.S. stock market could be overvalued. We also talked about his most recent project, a paper trading fund called the Joyner Fund. Of course, one cannot discuss crypto without thinking about Robinhood, the startup whose app has introduced millions of people to the wonderful world of investing.
