    Kerri and Dan spend their Christmas day season finale talking about the Oscar-nominated animated film Klaus. The movie mythologizes the origin of Santa by having him be a lonely toymaker who finds himself in cahoots with a postman delivering toys to the local kids of a town run by warring klans—and it totally works.     Dolly Parton* drops by to discuss A Smoky Mountain Christmas with Kerri and Dan. The movie, directed by Henry Winkler (yes, the Fonz), follows Dolly as a pop star who finds her small-town winter getaway charmingly invaded by orphans (sound familiar?). In this Christmas Eve episode, the trio share their love for Jezebel the witch, the musical numbers, and the '80s magic of it all. *Special guest is The Gay Goods editor-in-chief Mark Peikert.     The Feliz NaviDAD That Wasn't

    Kerri and Dan find a lump of coal in their stocking with Lifetime's Feliz NaviDAD, starring Mario Lopez and directed by Melissa Joan Hart. Everything about this movie should be right: a single dad (Lopez) tries to get on the dating scene again, the daughter is part of a hand bell/a capella group, and the family gets to show off its Latinx heritage. As we learn in the film, a "holidate" is someone you bring to family functions to avoid questions about being single that you are not actually romantically involved with.     Kerri and Dan talk about one of Dan's favorites, A Diva's Christmas Carol, starring the indomitable Vanessa Williams. The contemporary take on Dickens' holiday tale offers a slew of hits ("Heartquake," anyone?) that should be on anyone's Christmas playlist, a Ghost of Christmas Past played by Kathy Griffin, and a Marley played by TLC's Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas.     Happiest Season—Or Is It?

    Kerri and Dan explore the naughty and nice list of the 2020's most anticipated queer holiday rom-com: Happiest Season on Hulu. Starring a who's-who of Hollywood (Kristen Stewart, Mackenzie Davis, Aubrey Plaza, and Dan Levy, just to name a few), a storyline about a lesbian couple going home for the holidays, and some well-rounded supporting characters, the ingredients for success are here. But is Happiest Season a great addition to an expanding subgenre of queer holiday movies? Who did Abby deserve to end up with: Harper or Riley? Must all LGBTQ+ plots include some sort of trauma?
