    164. Why Your Goals Are Probably Setting You Up to Burn Out Again

I know the feeling all too well amiga. You set a big goal you lock-in for a week maybe one month tops and then you find yourself tired, overwhelmed and burn out because you went all-in without a realistic plan. But what is a realistic plan?   You’ve heard it before, our goals shouldn’t feel realistic, but I would argue that this exact mentality is sometimes killing our momentum and leaving us burnt out. I recently expedited this myself. I was ready to put it all to rest for the summer, I thought what if I just took the summer off? No posting. No podcast episodes, no weekly email. Just me and my babies making memories without me having to think about, “what am I going to post today?” And honestly I was deeply craving that pause. But what did I do instead? I decided to join the YAP Challenge. Im not gonna lie, the FOMO got me. I have to give it to Jesse Jean, she is a GREAT marketer and although I don’t regret joining the challenge I do regret not listening to my intuition.   This was burnout disguised as ambition. Because so many times we are so hard on ourselves for not showing up, for not staying consistent so we put more on our plate to feel worthy of the success we so deeply want.   The hustle, the pushing through felt like it would fix everything, but in reality what I needed was to slow down.   And no, it’s not too late to take the pause but I no longer crave it the way I did. You see my son started kindergarten now so I am not deeply overwhelmed like I was a few weeks ago.   In my latest podcast episode, I share with you how I shifted from setting goals that were setting me up for burn out to goals that are attainable in the season I am currently in: Taking care of an 11-month old full-time, and having a kindergartener at home.   I will be honest though, you might not like what you will hear on this episode, because this isn’t another “you got this, push through it”, “You can do all things with determination” conversation.   No, this episode will challenge you to pick ONE thing for the rest of the year, hone in on it and lock in without too many distractions.   This conversation will inspire you to get clear on what you actually want to focus on right now. Instead of encouraging you to take action on ALL of your ideas.   So here is what we are doing, we are setting goals together that will build momentum, not burn you out.   And some of the things you create will probably won’t be your best work. But we will celebrate them and not feel like we should wait until we have the capacity to create our best work.   Sonia💖   If you want support in your Next Chapter, join me inside my 90-Minute Next Chapter Intensive. 163. It's Not a Confidence Problem [The Real Reason You're Not Making Your Next Move]

Recently I've really questioned why I struggle to show up consistently on social media... Posting is essential for me in order to grow my audience, promote my offers, podcast, and grow this community. So when I feel confused and struggle to show up it is honestly paralyzing. I start to question my self, "Am I even cut out for this?" "How do I even come back to posting again" and so many unsupportive thoughts that clearly get me no where.  In this episode I breakdown 4 reasons that might be holding you back from making your next move, wether you are struggling to show up on social media, maybe you are sitting on an idea you've been wanting to take action on, you haven't asked for the promotion or raise, or you haven't started taking care of your health. Whatever it is you are stuck on, you are more than likely letting one of these four things hold you back. Reason #1: Identity attachments: whether you are attaching yourself to old identities or new ones that aren't allowing you to see yourself as the next version of yourself Reason #2: You are afraid to be seen. Not seen like showing up, but actually be seen. For example you are afraid to share what you stand for or share your hot takes. You often question yourself: what if I come off the wrong way? Reason #3: You struggle with consistency: You show up consistently for a few weeks and then find yourself burnt out taking a long break from your goals. You use excuses like, "I don't have enough time" or "I have too much on my plate already". Reason #4: You have Decision Fatigue: You have too many options and no frame work. You spend most of your time thinking about new ideas instead of sticking with one, making a plan, and taking action.   I don't know about you, but recently I found myself letting a bit of all of these hold me back from getting back into what I love to do most, empower women to take action and become the Mujerón of their dreams.  I allowed more than one of these reasons to stop me from recording my podcast ("I don't have time for it), to start selling my offers ("I'm currently going through a rut myself, how am I supposed to help women?), or posting on social media one week and ghost for the next week.  We are no longer allowing these reasons to hold us back, amiga. I hope this episode helps you step into your Next Chapter. Sonia💖   If you want support in your Next Chapter, join me inside my 90-Minute Next Chapter Intensive. 162. Rebuilding My Life & Biz: The Part Nobody Talks About

I would be lying if I said it has been an easy transition back into my business after having my second baby. I've made so many big decisions since she came into my world, and I have to give myself credit for that. Even then, I've struggled with slowing down, with feeling confused and uncertain about what my Next Chapter will be. And somehow, in between all the confusion, I am more certain than ever that I want to continue to serve Latinas and help them become who they are meant to be on this earth. It is wild because I, too, am right in the middle of the unknown. But there is one thing I have always carried with me: the idea that lo vamos a lograr juntas. I now understand that this statement was far bigger than the played-out phrase we repeatedly hear in the women's empowerment space. That together, we are stronger. Yes, we most definitely are. But we are stronger because we are literally going through the ebbs and flows of life, motherhood, and womanhood, juntas. We are stronger when we are vulnerable enough to say it out loud: "I don't have it all figured out." But hey, neither do I. So how about we figure this out together? That is honestly how this all started. The different workshops I would host at the beginning of Mujerón Movement weren't because I was an expert in them. It was because I, too, was struggling and wanted to grow. And then I decided to create a program with all the knowledge I had learned and share it with other amigas. So here I am, once again, rebuilding. Not from zero, because I have been here before. I know the road. I know it won't be easy, though. And just because I know the road, that might make it even harder. Así que, si tú también estás ahí, once again, vamos a lograrlo juntas, amiga. Because we worked way too hard to give up now. I hope you feel seen and held by this vulnerable share. Sending you so much love as we step into the Next Chapter. 159. You're Not Behind, You're at Capacity (And That's Okay)

What would your life look like if you locked in for the next six months? In this episode, I'm getting real about what it means to truly lock in, not by working endless hours, but by being intentional about your energy, your priorities, and the life you actually want to build. After returning from the Fundadoras Circle Dinner in Phoenix and navigating new motherhood, I share the honest, vulnerable journey of hitting capacity, letting go of what no longer serves me, and stepping into the next version of myself. If you're a Latina founder who's been playing small or carrying way too much, this episode is your sign to take up space, fully and unapologetically. 3 Action Steps to Lock In for the Next Six Months: Acknowledge Your Capacity 8:35 — Get honest about what you're carrying. If you're at capacity, say it out loud. Let go of what's not truly yours to carry so you can focus on what fulfills you. Use my GAME Framework 17:44 — Start your day with Gratitude, build an Action plan, practice Mindfulness (journaling, meditating), and Exercise/move your body. This daily framework creates clarity and helps you connect with yourself every single day. Invest in Yourself 19:19 — Get into rooms, programs, and communities that will stretch and elevate you. Whether it's a coach, a mastermind, or an event, investing in yourself is what fast-tracks your next level. Ready to lock in? If you're a Latina founder ready to expand your visibility, purpose, and impact, I'm personally inviting you to the Fundadoras Circle Mastermind. We kick off June 11th, and together we'll do the real work: breaking generational cycles, building something bigger than ourselves, and stepping into the next level — together. Schedule a call with me to learn more and claim your spot.

    158. 4 Ways You Can Show Up Right Now for our Immigrant Community

Amiga, if you’re feeling the heaviness right now, I feel you. This is my first episode back from maternity leave, and I could not come back without acknowledging what we are collectively experiencing. With everything happening around ICE and the way our immigrant communities are being targeted, this moment feels deeply personal, especially for those of us who are first-gen and daughters of immigrants. This isn’t just politics. This is trauma resurfacing. This is fear we grew up with showing up again in real time. In this episode, I’m holding space for the emotions many of us are feeling fear, sadness, anger, helplessness, and I’m also sharing simple, intentional ways we can activate, resist, and take up space as Latina leaders right now.   ✨ What I Talk About in This Episode Why what’s happening is retraumatizing for so many first-gen Latinas How growing up as daughters of immigrants shaped our fear, resilience, and leadership Why silence is often rooted in privilege and why some people don’t have the option to speak How to show up with intention instead of pressure or performative activism Why becoming the best version of ourselves is a powerful form of resistance   🔥 Ways I’m Inviting You to Take Up Space Right Now 1️⃣ Share Your Family’s Story (If It’s Safe to Do So) Stories humanize what systems try to dehumanize. Take action: Share how your parents’ sacrifices shaped your life Highlight what your family has built, contributed, and overcome Center pride, resilience, and legacy, not just survival This isn’t about exposing anyone, it’s about reclaiming the narrative. 2️⃣ Share Your First-Gen Perspective Your experience matters, not just your parents’. Take action: Talk about what it meant to grow up between two cultures Share how being first-gen shaped your ambition, work ethic, and leadership Name the complexity of never feeling “enough” of either identity—and still persevering Your story helps others feel seen and helps shift public perception. 3️⃣ Share Vetted Resources Responsibly Our communities are scared and that fear is valid. Take action: Share trusted organizations that offer legal aid, support, or advocacy Be mindful of how you share resources (some fear being tracked) Share resources for both: Those directly impacted First-gens and allies who can take action (donating, volunteering, voting, organizing) Not everyone can speak but you can help amplify support. 4️⃣ Show What Getting Involved Looks Like (If You Have a Platform) Visibility can be powerful when done with care. Take action: Share how you are getting involved (volunteering, donating, organizing, supporting) Show alternatives to protesting because activism doesn’t look one way Normalize participation in ways that are accessible, safe, and sustainable Representation matters even in action.   ✊🏽 The Most Powerful Form of Resistance Becoming the best version of yourself. Resistance also looks like: Taking care of your physical and mental health. Getting your finances in order and building wealth. Starting the business you’ve been putting off. Becoming consistent with your goals. Sharing your thought leadership boldly. Creating a head start for the next generation. Your success, health, and growth are acts of resistance in a system that was never built for us to thrive. Gracias Amiga y vamos a lograrlo juntas!
