Trial By Media is a true crime podcast by some of the only full time crime reporters in the UK. Once a case closes journalists are free to reveal juicy details we couldn’t give you at the time. So this is the full story on how the weirdest, boldest and most dangerous criminals are treated by the courts and the press. Having been in the room where it happened we ask what went on, what went wrong, and whether justice was done.

6: Terrorism

Twenty-two people were killed and more 800 were injured after suicide bomber Salman Abedi detonated a shrapnel-laden homemade bomb at the end of an Ariana Grande concert at the Manchester Arena in 2017. His brother Hashem Abedi was jailed for at least 55 years after helping plan the atrocity. 4: It's All About The Money
Four people are on trial for their alleged involvement in a series of million-pound burglaries targeting celebrities including Tamara Eccleston, Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard and the late Leicester City chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha. A gang of international thieves carried out an Ocean’s 11-style heist on luxury jeweller Boodles, by swiping £4.2million worth of diamonds for pebbles. And the infamous Hatton Garden raid, where £14million were stolen from a jeweller’s safety deposit.
