    Season 5, Episode 92: Interview with Award-Winning Actress Sarah French (Sunshine) from “Brute 1976” (2025)

    Brute 1976 is a solid horror movie that throws us back to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes days where there are desert-dwelling psychos who kill with thrill. The campiness of the classic group further mimics the bohemian feel of characters, each of whom personifies those slasher stereotypes we know and love. I can honestly say you will be afraid of those weekend getaways where everyone is targeted. Brute 1976 left me completely full on the type of horror I love. Sarah French: the award-winning actress who has been in more independent horror movies than I can count, she is what I would call pure talent. Not only has she impressed me her ability to act in every role given, but she has also left the impression that no matter what it takes, she will get the job done. Her role in Brute 1976 as Sunshine has definitely lit up the screen with her iconic gift to grab the essence of that character and bring her to life. If you have not seen this movie, I highly recommend it… If you want to travel back in time to revisit your love for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre and The Hills Have Eyes, then you have to see this spot-on replica of the imaginative storylines. Brute 1976 is now on Digital: Tubi, Amazon Prime Video, Fandango, Apple Tv and many more platforms. If you’re a fan of 70s horror, then you have to see this!     Season 5, Episode 91: Interview with Devin DeVasquez (Clarissa Carlyn) from “Society” (1989)

    There is quite nothing else like this movie, a strange blend of comedy and horror that is equal parts funny, creepy, outright gross, and it deserves way more love than it currently gets. If we were to strip away the underlying soap opera tone, the hammy performances, and the slapstick comedy, this movie would be frightening. Devin with her amazing career that has spanned throughout the entertainment industry with various highlights: from being a former Playboy Playmate to having a relationship with Prince, plus much, much more. Let’s take a trip back to the “Golden Era” of horror where special effects and makeup were top notch! No CGI, no AI, but straight up blood pumps and prosthetics as to where you would believe it’s actually happening. Devin, who plays Clarissa – a central part of this cult classic cult horror movie, who delivered her role perfectly. She mentioned some of the physical (and psychological) challenges while filming and acting on set. My interpretation is that this movie has David Cronenberg written all over it, it’s that good. However, this is not a Cronenberg film, just good ole’ frightening horror with some bizarre twists. Make sure to catch this comedy horror on Fandango at Home and on Tubi.     Season 5, Episode 90: Interview with Rodrigo Luzzi (Reg McPhee) the Amazon Prime TV Series “Fallout”

    Although I went into Amazon’s Fallout adaptation with unsure expectations, the series Fallout is making a lot of headway, and it has proven to be one of the best post-apocalyptic shows. Every other primary character is exciting to follow in different ways but there are a few that stick out to me. I spoke to Leer Leary last week about his character Davey and I sat down with Rodrigo Luzzi who also plays a very unique and interesting character. I want to say that in Season 2, Episode 6 “The Other Player” is where we witnessed Reg’s breakthrough as a leader. And also recognize that episode being hilarious with the elaborate song and dance of “Uranium Fever” and it’s where we get to see Reg stand up to Overseer Betty (and he shoves a hand full of Jell-O cake into his mouth while locking eyes with Betty). At that point, there’s nothing to argue about because what else could have happened. Reg strongly believes in the welfare of the vault dwellers although he has been characterized as slightly delusional. However, it’s a great episode and the song and dance is perhaps one of the best scenes in Season 2. Moreover, I also predict that Reg is going to be the new overseer of vault 33.     Season 5, Episode 89: Interview with Leer Leary (Davey) from the Amazon Prime TV series “Fallout”

    I would like to point out that I have become overly obsessed with this series. Not only because I am a gaming nerd, but the show has proven to be a very successful project. The show is scary, intense, funny, weird, exciting, reverential, and somehow also optimistic – a feeling I have not received from apocalyptic fiction in some time. Also, there are a few characters that do stand out for me and one of them is Davey, portrayed by the awesome and very talented Leer Leary. Man, what an awesome interview with priceless information! Speaking to Leer and getting to know his character on the Fallout series was a blast. Like an onion, Leer peeled back all the layers to give us a breakdown about his character and what it’s like to work with his co-stars, and what it’s like on set. I can honestly say that I enjoyed speaking to him and this interview very, very much. I am very excited to see what his character brings in Season 3 which begins filming this year.     Season 5, Episode 88: Interview with Madalina Bellariu Ion (Rhea) from “Drained” (2024)

    Seduction. Vampires. Romance. Sounds like an Anne Rice movie. Drained is far from being just that… As a matter of fact, the movie is smart and alluring which makes this movie excellent. The film is exceedingly captivating. The character Rhea is fascinating and mysterious, and Madalina played the role extremely well. Romanticism will bite you in the neck! No pun intended, it’s the truth because you cannot have romance without vampires. The elements are there, and Madalina broke them down in this interview. It was wonderful to speak to Madalina about her character in this not so typical movie about vampires. Although she was born less than a stones throw away outside Transylvania, she is the perfect rendition of a female vampire who is the predator, but who also has a tiny trickle of humanity within her. I highly recommend watching this movie if you want to get away from the usual, boring, repeated vampire plot. The tone and pace in this film is what you are looking for if you need to watch something different and Madalina delivers. Now available for steaming on Amazon Prime, Video, Tubi, Google TV, Apple TV, and YouTube.

    Season 5, Episode 87: Interview with Italia Ricci (Naomi Riley) from “The Confession” (2026)

    Southern Gothic Horrors are making a comeback in the horror community and this film in particular is centered on generational trauma, religious terror, and atmospheric dread. However, there’s nothing more terrifying than a mother who uncovers her deceased father’s dark secrets plus the evil behind it all threatens to finish what it started, putting everyone in danger. What an absolute honor and pleasure to sit down with the talented Italia Ricci! We spoke about her role in this twisted movie with the essence of religious and climatic horror. As the movie is being filmed, she explained the arc that her character experienced in the story along with the physical boundaries. However, there is that one line that her on-screen son says in the movie in which I believe that may have shocked the audience. You’re going to have to watch the movie to know what I am writing about. We also spoke about her roles as the Silver Banshee in Super Girl and her role as a White House employee in Designated Survivor (in which that point in the interview, I was being a nerdy fanboy). How will audiences connect with this movie? If you’re a single mother who would do anything in the world to protect your kid(s), then you will definitely have something to take with you after watching it. The Confession is available to rent or purchase on Apple TV Store, Prime Video, and Fandango at Home. It is also streaming on platforms like Tubi, Hoopla, and The Roku Channel.

    Season 5, Episode 86: Interview with Emma-Leigh Cullum (Young Periwinkle) from “IT: Welcome to Derry” (2025)

    I cannot stress enough how the character development in this show did not cease to amaze me and to truly understand Pennywise, you have to understand what he represents. However, there is one character in the series I would love to know more about, and that is Periwinkle herself, the daughter of Pennywise as the younger adaptation played by the extremely talented Emma-Leigh Cullum who delivered her role flawlessly. I had the honor and pleasure of sitting down with this young and amazing actress who we have all come to love as Young Periwinkle, the daughter of the notorious clown, Pennywise. She went into great detail regarding what it was like on set with Bill Skarsgård, the dynamic on and off set, the makeup process, and what she liked the most about her character. As an actress in a period piece, one might want to do some research about the era ensuing in the show, but Emma did not do any research and that is what talent is all about and I can most certainly agree that she is very talented. It: Welcome to Derry is still streaming on HBO Max and Apple TV. I highly encourage checking out the show. And if you are like me, I love origin stories and this series is heading in that direction.

    Season 5, Episode 85: Interview with Hannah Emily Anderson (Mary Crane) from “Return to Silent Hill” (2026)

    After watching the trailer, I will happily admit that I am looking forward to seeing the latest installment for the Silent Hill Franchise. 20 years later, this franchise is still gaining traction worldwide and if you’re a gaming nerd like me, you know that this movie will be epic. What an honor and pleasure to sit down and talk with Hannah about her role in the newest installment of the Silent Hill Franchise. We spoke about who her character is, her character’s arcs, and the story behind the movie. In comparison to the Silent Hill movies in the past, Hannah described this one is very similar to the 2006 original. In a sense, all of the Silent Hill movies are alike if you try to wrap your mind around it. She also talked about the physical challenges while filming, the tone and pace of her previous films, and her future goals.
