    Send us Fan Mail The Bums are back in the rail yard with Episode 0145, popping off with NFL playoffs chatter focused on Frosty the Iceman’s inaugural post-season campaign and pre-Super Bowl updates; the NFL coaching stove is red-hot; in JV news,  MLBIU makes itself some history across two sports; MLB’s hall of fame nominees and awards are becoming a joke; the Mets have an interesting quota to fill, Latin style; the LA Dodgers are buying the league (damnation); and close with south-side trade-news. The back cracks off with another intergalactically famous beer review featuring Old Irving Brewing’s “Walking West” (5.2% ABV), a Mexican style lager made in collaboration with a local neighborhood home brew cohort (“TBD Home Brewing”) — muy bueno; Rocky’s rupture sets him back, but he picks up a new talent in solidarity with his favorite NFL QB; Paddy shares a travelogue from his trip to American’s nearest island; airplane etiquette is chronicled; and close with new curriculum at the University of Kansas.  Get some to prep for American’s favorite Sunday holiday. The flip-side starts with another infamous beer review, at the hands of River St. Joe Brewing Company’s “Farmhouse Pale Ale” (ABV 6.5%), a much improved experience and quality (tune-in for the deets); bon voyage to beloved American actor Robert “Tom Hagen” Duvall; an update ensues with Kalshi — the bet on anything and everything app; Scary Mary on the needle; and close with a simple pleasure courtesy of a local car wash.   Get some, because let’s face it — there is NOTHING else going on until pro baseball starts.     Send us Fan Mail The bums are back in the rail yard with S6:E0149 — and a “first time ever” occurrence; a personal tie-in to Northwestern University’s top ranked long-snapper; the Chicago Bears make off season moves tougher with the exits of Center Drew Dahlman and possession receiver DJ Moore; thoughts floated on the NFL Combine; USA Hockey gets a co-ed gold; the new voice of Sunday Night Baseball gets enthusiastic thumbs up as JB takes the lead mic (not everyone is that lucky — Brooks Boyer); loyal fan Rude Dude shares an awesome stat (Spartan style). The back nine features a solid gold, double beer review — spread across two regions and timezones with Silver Bluff Brewing’s “Golden Isles” (7.2% ABV) and River St. Joe Brewing’s “Golden” (4.5% ABV), British-style Golden Ale — dynamite notes and flavors abound; Part 1 of Paddy’s travelogue across state lines is memorialized; Rocky gets a new whip; the City of Chicago’s city sticker and license registration can go f**k itself; and close as Paddy has an interaction issue.  Get some before the Day Light Savings Time flip f***s up your equilibrium.     Send us Fan Mail The bums are back in the rail yard with another milestone episode — our 150th (back in the Eagle’s Nest HQ where it all started)!!!  The bums come off the top rope with Round 1 Master’s banter; March Madness wrap-up is covered with an emphasis on Maize-and-Blue’s epic journey (about f*****g time the Big Ten had a decent showing; MLB opens as former Cub Jorge Soler and Reynaldo Lopez crack off pugilism style; the Cubs injury list (ouch, it hurts); Jamaican-America umpire C.B. Bucknor sucks a bag of you-know-whats (as receipts are now viewed in the public eye); Tiger hits his driver (again); an Angel heads south; and close as the Lady Vols are taking applications.  The bums slide under the bottom rope with Part 2, and yet another “remote double-feature” beer review for the ages — showcasing Tampa Bay Brewing Co.’s “Reef Donkey” (ABV 5.5%), a likable American Pale Ale (APA) with a cool name that most won’t guess its meaning AND Old Irving Brewing’s “Sir Reginald” (ABV 5.5%) a crisp Czech/Bohemian-style pilsner, hopped with 100% noble hops; a collab with Beard & Belly and Honey Pie for their 6th anniversary (and oh yeah, Rocky left it in the freezer too long — it was a little slushy but still tasty AF); the City of Chicago gets more FUs than a Trump rally; an secret revelation from a character from the pop-cult movie “Caddyshack”; the bums take LBK Florida by storm (the good kind); Paddy’s favorite local LBK haunts include ‘Shore’ on LBK, ‘Cask and Ale’ downtown Sarasota, and ‘Euphemia Haye and Haye Loft’ on LBK; and close with a shout-out to Eddie’s eldest (Miss O) as she continues to make us all feel older.  Get some of E150 before Miss O gets another year older — it’s going too fast.  All of this and some sketchy call-in sound quality, what’s not to like (that wasn’t a question).     Send us Fan Mail The bums make a triumphant return to the rail yard — as Paddy returns from the wars of LBK, FL to reunite our trio;  NFL Draft season has come and gone, the bums break-down the Bears picks and acquisitions; Dan Hampton thinks Ben is arrogant; Babe Laufenberg and his place in IU draft history; a Masters recap ensues — Rory has a one chance to do something nobody else has done before; Sergio needs to explore why he’s so angry; the MLB has a few early dismissals (uncharacteristic) and ouch; the Cubs pitching roster looks like a M*A*S*H unit; and close the top half, as Dianna Rossini and Mike Vrabel find themselves in hot (tub) water.   The second half snaps off with a Triple booze review, featuring a holy trinity of rum, beer and bourbon; Paddy shares Richland Rum’s “Single Estate Old South Georgia Rum’ (112.4 proof, 56.2% ABV), a copper pot distilled masterpiece from Brunswick, Georgia; Eddie, courtesy of BIL Big D, shares a creation from BuckleDown Brewing— ‘Party Pillow’ (5.3% ABV) an unfiltered Hefeweizen that’s yeasty and bready; and Rocky completes the cycle with Old Bourbon County’s ‘Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey’ (110 proof; 55% ABV), from Paris, KY, an amazing value production; Eddie and family get a good look at comedian Hannibal Buress in Skokie, IL (Google it); Dave’s legacy carries on — micro dose style (so appropriate); Rocky and Lucy visit Louisville during Kentucky Derby Kickoff (Sunday Funday at Churchill Downs); and close with highlights from Paddy’s 60-day sabbatical on the island of long boat key.  Get a fresh dose, all of them are free.     Send us Fan Mail The bums are back in the rail yard with S6:E0152, just in time to recount the 152nd running of the Kentucky Derby (Eddie gets paid AF); the Chicago Bears roster is taking shape between draft picks and offseason acquisitions; Bears schedule is no cake walk; the Canucks re-appear for a cameo (Rocky can’t hang with the hoser talk); and end the top with the fact that nobody gives a flying f**k about the NBA or NHL championship series’ (period).     Send us Fan Mail The bums are back in the rail yard with S6:E153, jumping right into Major League Baseball as the Cubbies continue their death spiral; is the South Side > the North Side?, are the Cubs sellers?; Byron Nuxton has the Sox number; Rude Dude finds a gem — 1971 MLB Allstar line-up (had the baseball minds twisted); Horseface hanging up his cleats (after he finishes driving the Steelers into the ground); another Packer is in hot water (boo hoo); Kenny Atkinson is a f*****g dope; the Colorado Avs get whacked out to close out part one. Part dos cracks off with another dope ass beer review, as Art History Brewing puts out another winner with “City Hall” (5.2% ABV), a helles lager; and Greyton Brewing earns a shout-out with Beach Blonde (4.8% ABV) lager; one beer resurrected while another dies a slow death; talk turns to the Mount Rushmore of craft beer (opinions were flowing); the Bums play Mountain Jam at church to squash some techno b******t (all hail Touch Tunes); Memorial Day’s backyard bloodbath hits Mrs. Eddie between the eyes; Rocky is all-in on golf; Paddy attends a FL-style wedding; what the f**k is Bugonia (nobody knows); and close with a hearty HBD to GG (aka Genny Tacos).   Get some while it’s fresh — put up or shut up!     B.O.M. - Episode 0154 - Still No Shovels

    Send us Fan Mail The bums return to the rail yard with S6:E0154, where the prologue gets right into Chicago Bears news — headlined by non-performant President Kevin Warren and his ridiculous mishandling of the Bears stadium “project”, Rome O’s injured foot is permanently a different shape, Frosty the Iceman takes a crack at breaking the Madden curse; the Rams snap up Miles and leave Cleveland empty handed (again); the NBA finals are in full swing (for the 8 fans interested); a hapless fan gets an on-court selfie w/ Wemby but pays the ultimate price; and Jalen Brunson has a dust-up with court-side fans; and oh yeah, the Stanley Cup finals are happening as Vegas draws even. The epilogue makes it’s mark with a brilliant creation from Chicago’s very own Old Irving Brewing — “Billy Goat Pilsner” (ABV 5.5%) — one of two beers in the Billy Goat Tavern collaboration series, a Czech-style Pilsner brewed with Pilsner malt, hopped with Saaz for an amazing tasting pils for the books; Summer time has arrived as Rocky’s rat wars heat up; mega franchise Seinfeld leaves Netflix after 9 years (a show about nothing could cost everything); Eddie stumps Widows Bay, a TV series set in a cursed New England town (high marks); Rocky misses the Yellowstone franchise but is making due; and close as the Summer of Golf amps up with Rocky’s slice wars campaign.  Get some while it’s fresh, even though the bums are not.
