    Family of Five - Relaunch Episode with Ginny and James Walker

    In this episode, James speaks candidly and honestly about his memories of our son, Ben and his experience seven years on, after losing our son to acute myeloid leukaemia, following a stem cell transplant. While this is mainly from James' perspective, we both share our thoughts on our family's experience and how we are managing our grief. I talk about arriving at the six month grief marker after losing Benny, going over what happened and the continuing connection I feel and hope to always feel with my son.     In this third episode, I talk about the reality of facing our first Christmas without our beautiful son, Ben and the heart-filling and heart-breaking experience we've had of delivering Ben's Epic Christmas Boxes. Lyme Disease is discussed and my desire to remain focused on creativity, while in desperate need of connection with my son. As ever, I hope to open up a conversation about grief, especially grief of the loss of a child and hope to connect with other bereaved parents through communication and creativity.     In this second episode, while out with my dogs, I talk about the Lyme Disease that Ben was diagnosed with alongside his Acute Myeloid Leukaemia. I talk about the difficulty in trying to exist in this new reality of grief and the build up to Christmas; what that means now and how we will endeavour to cope.     In this initial episode, I'm out walking my dogs, introducing you to the journey we have been through and hoping to open a conversation about grief. Grief is something that is so hard some days to navigate and express. As part of this podcast and future podcasts, I hope to reach out to others who have and are going through a similar experience and discuss topics and ideas that help us all to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I hope you enjoy these words from the heart.
