The NoobCoder's Show

Soumyadip Mondal

A podcast dedicated to talking about tech with one of my non-tech friends, where they try to make uncomfortable by throwing weird questions at me. And, I reply..... eh.... whatever I can. I think this is the first ever tech podcast in Bengali. Make sure to check out my YouTube Channel too. New short episode (or, clips) every week. New full (lengthy) episode every month. Always shoot me your questions. It may get featured in next podcast. **Socials** GitHub: https://github.com/unsuitable001 LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/unsuitable001/ Twitter: https://www.twitter.com/unsuitable001/

A Take on Audio Files - TNCS Ep. 1

unsuitable001 talks about sampling rate, bit-rate and how audio file is saved, codec and various other audio related stuff with his non-tech friend, Ayushman. NOTES Though, I've mentioned only amplitude, frequency is also (&  must be) stored. Bit Rate shouldn't be confused with Bit Depth. Due to communication  gap,  it may seem indistinguishable. Bit Rate is how much of the data  points  you are adding per second to represent the audio wave. The more  you  take, the more accurate it will be. It's denoted in bits/second.  But,  the Bit Depth is, precision of those individual data points. It's   denoted in bits. Think like, there's a graph paper. And, you can only  place a dot where  the x lines and y lines crosses each other & not  in the blank space  between. So, higher bit depth means higher the grid  density. So, higher  precision. And, higher bit rate means, closer the  points (results to a  smoother graph overall).  Happy new year,  everyone! In this new year I'm launching my very own  podcast. The  NoobCoder's Show.
