The Celtics overcame an off-shooting night and held off the Mavericks for a 105-98 game 2 victory in TD Garden. Boston leads the Finals 2-0 as the series shifts to Dallas for games 3 & 4. Jrue Holiday led the scoring with 26 and 11 rebounds, Jayson Tatum had 18 points, 12 assists, and 9 rebounds, and Jaylen Brown added 21 points and 7 assists. But the Celtics won this game with their incredible defense; they completely bottled up Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving after the first quarter and never allowed the role players to get going.

The Celtics come out on fire in Game 1 of the NBA Finals and get a 107-89 win over the Mavericks. Kristaps Porzingis make a huge impact in his return to action, finishing with 20 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 blocks. Jaylen Brown led the team in scoring with 22 points, plus 3 blocks and 3 steals. Jayson Tatum scored 16 points and also led the team in rebounds with 11. Despite a 30 point output by Luka the Celtics dominated this game throughout.

The Boston Celtics are back in the NBA Finals after sweeping the Pacers with a 105-102 Game 4 victory to finish off the Eastern Conference Finals. Jaylen Brown wins ECF MVP, Tatum puts up another ho-hum 26/13/8, Derrick hits the game-winner, and Al & Jrue come through in big ways. It was an all-around team effort and another clutch comeback win. The Celtics finished the game on a 15-4 run and a 7-0 run as they didn’t allow Indiana to score over the final 3:32. The Celtics avoid the Game 2 blues and beatdown the Pacers 126-110 to take a 2-0 lead in the Eastern Conference Finals. Jaylen Brown dominated the game with his second career ECF 40 burger and Jayson Tatum and Derrick White came on in the second half to help close things out. The Celtics finally went small and it paid major dividends immediately. Pascal Siakam did his best to keep Indiana in the game, but it wasn’t enough as Tyrese Haliburton left late with a hamstring injury. The series now heads to Indianapolis for Game 3 on Saturday night.
