    Awareness: God Cares

Awareness Those in the Christian faith can be tempted to suppress or ignore their emotional or mental distress because they know about God, who heals, delivers, and comforts. But knowing a God who has solutions and answers to it all does not negate the fact that we experience hard things and struggles in this life. God’s word lets us know that Jesus is not ignorant of or apathetic about our struggles, hurts, or weaknesses, but hashad a front-row seat to experiencing it all while He walked this earth. Hebrews 4:15:  "For we do not have a high priest who isunable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but one who in every respect has been tempted as we are, yet without sin." He came down to experience the plights, stresses, and temptations of this world. So that He could help us inour times of need. Hebrews 2:18: "Because he himself suffered when he wastempted, he is able to help those who are being tempted."   Many times, as Christians, we rush past our emotions or try to cover up our weaknesses because of the false expectationthat, since we know Christ, we should not struggle. However, God said He walks with us through the shadows and comforts us, and He empowers us to overcome thestruggle, not that there would be no shadows, struggles, or temptations.   Jesus experienced grief (John 11:33-35), was weary and exhausted (John 4:6), was tempted (Luke 4:2), and had atime of deep agony and sorrow (Matthew 26:38-39).   God wants us to be aware of who we are and what we are dealing with, because He wants to minister to us where we are and not where we think we should be.   Guest:   Dr. Wendy Celoria, PhD, LPC-S   Center for Counseling andWellness Laurel, MS   https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/therapists/wendy-celoria-laurel-ms/328358     Check out our website,Asparkministries.com, for more inspirational content or information about ourproducts and ministry. 2. God Cares: Conflict

    God Cares: Conflict

God Cares: Conflict May is Mental Health Awareness Month, and we sat down withDr. Jaclyn Daniels to discuss conflict and how God uses it to transform and build us up if we let Him direct us in how to deal with it. Conflict is a dynamic that can create a great deal of mentaland emotional stress, pain, and discomfort. God cares about the issues, relationships, and struggles in our lives, and He wants to guide and comfort us through them so that it can be well with us. God’s creation is precious to Him even when they are actingugly. He gave His Son’s life for those with whom we may be in conflict, so we should not deal with anyone harshly, but allow God’s character and wisdom to guide how we handle orresolve conflict. Whether the end result is reconciliation or personal character building, we should allow God to lead us in how we can work with Him during conflict, as He works it out for good.   Verses for Encouragement: "But I say to you, Love your enemies and pray for thosewho persecute you" (Matthew 5:44). "Bear with each other and forgive one another if any ofyou has a grievance against someone" (Colossians 3:13). "A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger" (Proverbs 15:1).  "If your brother or sister sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you" (Matthew 18:15). "If it is possible, as far as it depends on you, live at peace with everyone" (Romans 12:18).   Dr. Jaclyn Daniels social media, contact, and product information: · Instagram   o https://www.instagram.com/drjaclyndaniels/ · Editorial View Consulting    o https://editorialview.bloom.io/  7-day devotionals on Conflict and Anger o Conflict https://buy.stripe.com/aFa8wPd18g5ZdBA6zZdIA06 o  Anger https://buy.stripe.com/5kQ6oH8KSg5Z7dcgazdIA09Check out our website, Asparkministries.com, for more inspirational content or information about our products and ministry.
