EP140: The School of Soulful Business for Coaches (with Gage Bock)

In this episode, Bev and Gage discuss: Gage's backstory into coaching and business developmentA focus on service in client creationBev and Gage give a few tips on how to start creating clients through serving others, using your network and creating solutions with your services in gaps in the system Key Take-aways: Reflect on your business coaching goals and what support would be helpful to you right nowAssess if you energy is all in or not on your coaching businessConnect with Gage if interested in developing your business through client creation focused on service. Mention the Holistic Coach Training Institute to get 10% off and remember that we will get something too as a referral. About Gage: There are many ways I can describe myself. The more straightforward ways include: Woman. Daughter. Sister. Friend. Professional coach and mentor. Facilitator. Lifelong learner. Gardener. Weekend Artist. Then, there are the more colorful, authentic-feeling ways I can describe myself: Soul-Centered Coach. Animist. Dream Worker. Artist of Life. My path to where I am today has been a long and winding one, not at all clear cut or linear, as I once thought paths were supposed to be. “Be patient toward all that is unsolved in your heart and try to love the questions themselves, like locked rooms and like books that are now written in a very foreign tongue. Do not now seek the answers, which cannot be given you because you would not be able to live them. And the point is, to live everything. Live the questions now. Perhaps you will then gradually, without noticing it, live along some distant day into the answer.” Rilke’s words have been a great reminder that the path - even if I cannot see it - is always there, always emerging. They have helped me to slow down and ‘live everything’ now, ~ The reason that I coach today is twofold: One, when I’m coaching another human, I feel on purpose, doing some of the most meaningful work I can think of. I feel I’m getting to be part of helping other humans become who and what they uniquely are. The second reason I coach is that it’s my way of paying it forward. I wouldn’t be where I am today were it not for all the coaches, mentors, teachers, elders, and guides who have shared their time, attention, loving honesty, and fierce compassion with me. These people have helped me get out of my way (more times than I can count) while also being truly inspiring examples of what’s possible. Part of what I admire most about these humans has been their willingness to be vulnerable, real, and deeply rooted in service, passing on what they have received. It’s my hope and prayer to be able to do the same through my work. EP138: Money Mindset and the Spiritual Side of Making Money (with Jan Trautwein)

In this episode, Bev and Jan discuss: Jan unique path into coachingSpiritual perspective around money and breaking free of beliefs around money Thinking bigger about the value of our coaching Key Take-aways: Assess your own money storyConnect with Jan if you need some support around your money story ABOUT JAN I value contribution, freedom and autonomy. I've never had a traditional job. After I finished my physics degree, I co-founded a social startup. It was aligned and fun… until it wasn't. The biggest realization I had when I left because I got depressed: Happiness as fuel, not a reward. In 2018 I found my passion in coaching and dedicated myself fully to it. Since then I've worked with over 100 clients across the world, helping impact-driven founders build businesses that feel as good on the inside as they look on the outside. I've also coached actors, leaders of Fortune 500 companies and world-class AI educators. I continuously invest in my own development, learning from the best coaches in the world. I've done 2 Vipassana retreats, multiple plant medicine ceremonies, an 8-day darkness retreat and many other retreats and experiences that helped me heal past trauma and become more free.
