    In the third episode of Niche @ Nite, Nick and Amanda discuss the emotions behind unknowingly open mouth kissing a cannibal, an unrelated but also satanic “Call Me By Your Name,” the loosely hanging CAMP that the live action Powerpuff Girls are serving, Canadian pop bangers, 2012 hits YouTube mashups, and the subtle differences between the two definitions of "scat." And they somehow do all of that while touching on the nuances of race, gender, sexuality, image, and healing your inner child. If you’ve been traumatized by a GOOP vagina crystal or if you’re considering being traumatized by a GOOP vagina crystal, this is the episode for you.

    In the Niche @ Nite’s first episode, your darling hosts, Nick and Amanda, take you back to the start of their fringe pop culture interests. What was the infancy of this obsession with the fringe of pop culture? Did it begin with the real star of American Idol: Ryan Seacrest, the heyday of Gwen Stefani, that sexy mfer Tom Bergeron, or Little People Big World fanfic? It’s a natural progression—you’ll see. Come with them as their ADD riddled brains take you on every unexpected pivot through the pop culture moments that got them to the present: God complexes, agnosticism, sourcing klonopin to the American people, staging coups, and all. (Be sure to tag Bindi Irwin when you share this episode so Amanda can get a job.)

    Ep2 - Grimes & That School Shooting Episode of Glee

    In the second episode of Niche @ Nite, Nick and Amanda promise structure, but absolutely do not deliver on that. We do, however, prove we can be serious, too. Masters of pivot, Nick and Amanda discuss any and every fringe pop culture moment that you may have not heard of or forgot about (or suppressed) while Amanda loudly drinks water with ice out of a mason jar and Nick vigorously strokes his own ego—all without the focus of a neurotypical person. From a deep-rooted fear of Grimes that causes night terrors in a 22 year old man, to a slight misunderstanding of what happens in The Help, Rachel Berry’s illiteracy, and trading your raccoon skin to go to your one-room schoolhouse. Narrowly avoiding slander lawsuits, they discuss pop culture without any of the refinement of really knowing much of anything about the world around them. If you think about it, this podcast is a great example of Outsider Art. Pop Culture Historians in 2099 will exalt us much like Herodotus, but funnier, more queer, and definitely sexier.
