    The Drilling  Company, known  for  Shakespeare in the Parking Lot  and  new plays, talks with playwright Ronan Noone about  his  verse play, THE  SMUGGLER  and  its 2023 Off-Broadway production at Irish Rep.  Actor Mick Mellamphy, appearing as  the  only actor   in  the  9000 word  play as  Tim Finnegan makes a special appearance to  talk  about  the  play and  the  legacy  of  Irish story telling.

    In our ongoing project, Elowyn Castle, longtime company member and veteran New York actress/director, brings the soliloquy to life in French.     To Be or Not To Be Project - Essi Kaila from Finland

    Essi Kaila, stage and film actress from Finland, joins The Drilling Company's "To Be or Not To Be” Project, inspired by Volodymyr Zelensky's mention of the speech in British Parliament in early March of 2022 just after the Russian invasion of Ukraine began. Ms. Kaila’s contribution marks the fourth installment in the Project for GOOD NOISE which continues to raise support for Ukrainian refugees.     To Be or Not To Be Project - Una Clancy - Irish Gaelic

    Shakespeare's most famous soliloquy, 'To Be or Not Be' offered in languages from throughout the world.  This  podcast features Una Clancy in Irish Gaelic.  In support of and solidarity  with the people of Ukraine. Mrs. Clancy is  known  for  her  work  not only  with  the  Drilling  Company  but  also with New York's famed , Irish Repertory Theatre  among  many others. The Drilling  Company is  known for  Shakespeare in the Parking Lot, Bryant Park Shakespeare and world premieres of new plays in New York City over  the  last  two  decades , championing playwrights  and nurturing a dynamic ensemble of actors, anchored in New York City  from  all over the world.

Shame, race, reparations and responsibility are all features  of  this  short  work sure  to inspire conversation with a thoughtful discussion with the  playwright that  follows.     An interview with prolific Off-Broadway playwright  and  veteran Broadway  actor , Brian Dykstra  along  with a GOOD NOISE audiocast premiere of his  short play ON TIME, commissioned a year  ago in the  heart of the pandemic  shut down.
