    Understanding Your Power (Part 3)

    Welcome back to the latest installment of Power 180's- 3 minutes of Housing Literacy that can change your life (sponsored by Powerful Homes). On today’s topic: What does it mean to have a Powerful Home?  It is one that is OWNED because we believe ownership changes everything in your life.  Something is activated when you make the decision to own your life…and a home or investment property. This is the FINAL part of a  3-part series, and today's topic is: How should I use Power? We rise by lifting others.  – Robert Ingersoll  We always bring the receipts with anything we talk about in the form of real-life transactions: Our Powerful Homes brokerage found a property for a 20-year teacher that was a perfect fit for her and her son who is expecting his first child.   But there was much more to the story that illustrates the definition of power. We positioned the buyer/teacher in the best way to win the offer in a competitive market. We helped the buyer/teacher with a grant that went to pay for issues at the property. We dug deep on the inspection to solve issues to create a safe home for everyone living there. We inspired the other broker that the SELLER contributed to the buyer/teacher’s costs in a market like that we are experiencing in 2021.     Understanding Your Power (Part 2)

On today’s topic: What does it mean to have a Powerful Home?  It is one that is OWNED because we believe ownership changes everything in your life.  Something is activated when you make the decision to own your life…and a home or investment property. This is Part 2 of a 3-part series, and today's topic is: Where does it (power) come from? The power is within you.  It always has been.  How far are you willing to expand the horizons of your thinking and stir that power awake. – Louise Hay Power.  Comes. From. Within.  Great.  We got it.  We’ve heard that so many times before.    Why don’t we do it?  Why don’t we trust our gut and sometimes give up on the idea that WE CAN BE POWERFUL?  I believe one of the reasons it that things can get messy and not turn out the way we thought they might.   We always bring the receipts with anything we talk about in the form of real-life transactions:  My development company recently purchased a condominium in the Denver metro area and remodeled it and resold it about a month ago.  Once again…there was much more to the story that illustrates the definition of power.   The Buyers were veterans who had been turned down again and again and again because nobody in the market likes to take VA loans because they are "difficult to deal with. " The property DID NOT appraise at contract value but $10k LESS than value.  We accepted the offer since because we made the decision to do the right thing.  AMAZING things happened post-closing and we may do future business together.  Being an OWNER is a great responsibility, but it also creates an opportunity to influence others in way that creates winning outcomes for everyone that can change the world.   Change your thinking.  Change your life.   As always, if you have any questions text Matt directly at 303-885-1644.

    Understanding Your Power (Part 1)

    Welcome back to the latest installment of Power 180's- 3 minutes of Housing Literacy that can change your life (sponsored by Powerful Homes). On today’s topic: What does it mean to have a Powerful Home?  It is one that is OWNED because we believe ownership changes everything in your life.  Something is activated when you make the decision to own your life…and a home or investment property.  In this 3-part series, we will discuss:   What is power?  Where does it come from?  How should I use it?  POWER (noun) definition:  the ability to act or produce an effect; possession of control authority or influence over others.  We always bring the receipts with anything we talk about in the form of real-life transactions:  Our Powerful Homes brokerage found an OFF-MARKET property and connected a buyer directly to the seller to create an amazing transaction.   But there was much more to the story that illustrates the definition of power.  We treated the Seller with respect, and she got what she wanted including price and terms.  We helped the existing tenant move to a more desirable situation for her family.  We educated the Buyer in the Powerful Homes principles and helped her remodel.  The contractor (also in the program) contributed his skills to the remodel.  The team member who coordinated the transactions solved issues in a calm manner.   Being an OWNER is a great responsibility, but it also creates an opportunity to influence others in way that creates winning outcomes for everyone that can change the world.   Personal power is the ability to take action.  – Tony Robbins As always if you have any questions, feel free to text Matt directly at 303-885-1644
