LSU Baseball: Opening Weekend Sweep The Tigers began their 2026 campaign with three consecutive victories at Alex Box Stadium, capped by an explosive offensive performance in the series finale. Former LSU star Mikie Mahtook provided analysis throughout the weekend as part of the "Mik'd Up" season preview. Game 1 (Feb 13): LSU opened the season with a victory behind a strong start from Casan Evans. Game 2 (Feb 14): The Tigers secured the series win with a 5–3 victory, highlighted by Cooper Moore's career-high 11 strikeouts. Game 3 (Feb 15): LSU completed the sweep with a 21–7 run-rule victory in seven innings. Jake Brown led the charge, going 3-for-4 with two home runs, including a grand slam, and a career-high 6 RBIs.
