Abscast 053 | David Reina (Vinyl Only)

David Reina is a Spanish Techno DJ and producer whose relationship with electronic music began at an early age, growing up in a family of DJs and starting to play in clubs at just 15. Rooted in underground club culture, his sound reflects years of experience behind the decks, combining hypnotic atmospheres, spatial textures and steadily building tension with powerful, physical rhythms. His productions have been released on respected labels including Axis, Illegal Alien, Edit Select, Warm Up and Semantica. He is also the founder of **Legend 1997**, a label dedicated to a futuristic, minimalist vision of Techno with cinematic influences, inspired by the underground scene of 1997. Moving between DJ sets, live performance and studio production, David approaches each session as an evolving journey, connecting with the dance floor through spontaneity and energy. Tasha Safari was born in Ganja, Azerbaijan, and is now based in Berlin. Her sound merges the drive of 90s-inspired techno with hypnotic and dark modern textures, always carrying a subtle feminine touch. Her musical roots lie in the contrasts of Azerbaijani culture, where Eastern traditions meet Western influences—a background that shaped her open and eclectic approach to sound. She has performed at renowned clubs including Tresor, RSO, ÆDEN, and Renate, with appearances across Europe, Asia and the CIS. Her productions have appeared on labels like R3volution, Uncoded, Children of Tomorrow, InDeep’n’Dance Records (Techno Tuesday Amsterdam), Diffuse Reality, as well as compilations for Mutant Radio, Reverse Records, PRTL WRX and more. Aleksandar Grum, also known as Redial Tone and Vakat, was born in Podgorica, Montenegro. In 2018, he started to perform under the name Vakat. First Vakat music (Siren EP) was released on Marcelus label Singular Records in July 2017. In May 2018, his second EP was released on Patrik Skoog's Discrete Data records. In February 2020, he published his 3rd, and debut Vakat album, ''Dah LP'' on Subsist records. Obseth is the project of Víctor Alvar, a producer and DJ from Spain based in Amsterdam. Deeply influenced by 90s electronic music, his style is defined by relentless, hypnotic, and uncompromising techno, a sound that revives the essence of the past while reimagining it through a contemporary and distinctive lens. PWCCA emerged in 2019 as the natural evolution of a long-standing artistic trajectory, channeling years of experience into a refined, clinical and hypnotic vision of techno. Built on the foundations of his first imprint, Hardtools Records, the project has continued to develop through Inducted Waves, his second and most personal label, where both his sound and curatorial vision are fully expressed. Defined by technical precision, controlled intensity and a deep understanding of club functionality, PWCCA has built a strong artistic affinity with some of the genre’s most respected figures. Oscar Mulero has been a key supporter, regularly featuring PWCCA’s productions in his sets, which culminated in a collaborative release on Inducted Waves, where both artists shared a common vision of contemporary techno. His discography reflects a consistent presence across respected institutions of underground techno, with releases on Warm Up Recordings, Mord, Semantica, Kazerne, Faut Section, Nachtstrom Schallplatten and Modularz.
