Esther — Pt. 2: When Comfort Becomes Dangerous (English)

When Comfort Becomes Dangerous (Esther 3) A message from Pastor Tim at Iglesia en Movimiento (Church on the Move). Esther series, part 2. We all want to be comfortable. Esther had been queen for years, safe in the palace, with no idea that a decree had just gone out to destroy her people. Meanwhile Mordecai will not bow to Haman, because sometimes the greatest act of courage is refusing to do what everyone else is doing. God doesn't position you for comfort; he positions you for purpose. What looks like chance is his providence at work while we are unaware, and comfort makes us less aware of the people who are hurting and of how much we need him. If you feel God pulling you out of what is comfortable, he is not leaving you alone. He is preparing you for your next step of faith. Website Scripture quotations are from the ESV.

Serie Ester, parte 2. Esther — Pt. 1: When Life Isn't What You Planned (English)

When Life Looks Nothing Like Your Plan (Esther 1–2) A message from Pastor Tim at Iglesia en Movimiento (Church on the Move). Esther series, part 1. Maybe your life right now looks nothing like the one you planned. Esther did not choose her story either: a young orphan far from home, under a king who did not know God, carried into the palace without asking for it. And in the whole book of Esther, God's name never appears. Still, he is the one moving every scene. He works in small, ordinary moments, like the day Mordecai overhears a plot at the king's gate and does the right thing with no idea what will come of it. Your faithfulness is not wasted time either. The same God who seated an orphan on a throne is with you now, even when it feels like his face is hidden. Website Scripture quotations are from the ESV.

Serie Ester, parte 1. Come — Pt. 5: Fishers of Men (English)

Fishers of Men (Matthew 4:18–22) A message from Pastor Tim at Iglesia en Movimiento (Church on the Move). Come series, part 5. Peter and Andrew are doing what they do every day, casting their nets, when Jesus walks up and changes their lives with one sentence: "Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men." He does not hand them a program; he gives them a promise. That is how his invitation tends to arrive: it interrupts your ordinary work, it touches who you are and not only what you do, and it costs something, though what you receive is far more than what you leave on the shore. Jesus shaped his disciples with time, with his Word and with practice, and he calls you the same way: to go fishing, not to keep the aquarium. Ven — Pt. 5: Pescadores de hombres (Español)

Pescadores de hombres (Mateo 4:18–22) Un mensaje del pastor Timoteo en Iglesia en Movimiento (Church on the Move). Serie Ven, parte 5. Come — Pt. 4: Come and Dine (English)

Come and Dine (John 21:1–22) A summary of the message preached at Iglesia en Movimiento (Church on the Move) by Pastor Tim. COME series, part 4. "Come and have breakfast." After denying Christ, Peter goes back to fishing, and on the shore Jesus meets him not with a confrontation but with a meal already prepared. Come and dine after a night of failure; when you recognize his voice; because the table is already set — grace comes before the conversation about sin; because he seeks to restore you and commission you again; and when you are tempted to compare yourself with others: "You follow me." Ven — Pt. 4: Ven y come (Español)

Ven y come (Juan 21:1–22) Un resumen del mensaje predicado en Iglesia en Movimiento (Church on the Move) por el pastor Timoteo. Serie VEN, parte 4. "Venid, comed."
