Feminist State Of Mind is a podcast run by the Arroyo Grande High School Feminist Club, where every other week, we will be discussing current issues and the inequalities modern-day feminists face today. Each episode will feature members of the Feminist Club, as well as special guests that will discuss that week's topic. Releases episodes every other Friday and/or Saturday.

    Join Feminist Club President Maddie Nall as she dives into the history of Women's History Month and why the month is essential to the Feminist Movement, as well as discusses five forgotten women of history: Nancy Wake, Cathay Williams, Gladys Bentley, Vitka Kempner, and Cornelia Sorabji.

    Sexist and Misogynistic Language

    Before we can dive into the Feminist movement, we have to discuss the barrier of sexist and misogynistic language that feminists face when bringing up feminism, as well as the sexist and misogynistic actions women face daily. Listen as President Maddie Nall, Vice President Mia McMullen, and club members Carmen DeChaine and Leo Bulacso discuss how deep sexism is ingrained into our society through the language we use, and how we need to challenge these normalized actions if we want to make progress with the Feminist movement.
