God Doesn't Throw Away Broken Things

When I wrote chapter 9, "God Doesn't Throw Away Broken Things," I wanted to encourage every person who needed hope. I discovered, giving up looks different for each of us. Sometimes, there's a project that needs to be completed, a book that needs to be created or a business or ministry that should have been started a long time ago. Or, sometimes after experiencing hardship our thoughts try make us feel insignificant. But I have learned there's something greater that happens in the midst of suffering. There is an opportunity to be strengthened and made more resilient. Somehow there is a newfound strength that comes despite the challenges we face. If you've ever experience heartache or deep sadness I want you to know, "God Doesn't Throw Away Broken Things." Welcome to the Podcast During this episode I read chapter 9 from my bestselling book entitled, "Don't Give Up." May it inspire and encourage you. Good News! I am relaunching "Don't Give Up." A Message of Hope

One thing I've discovered is that God doesn't do things in my timing. There are days I prayed and hoped for an answer, but He didn't answer my prayer when I expected. Sometimes, He answered a completely different way. To those who have been waiting. This one is for you. God is Sovereign, and He has a purpose for everything. What we do as we wait is super important. Don't give up hope. Wait patiently and believe by faith. Let's get to it.

    She Does Heal

Are you the strong one, the mom, the CEO, the leader, the caregiver, or the woman with a dream? Yet, life took an unexpected turn and you wondered, "What do I do now?" Has your "Hallmark" ever turned into a "Lifetime" drama? If you have ever felt like the rug has been snatched from beneath you, I want you to give yourself time to heal. You owe it to yourself to pause and heal. One of the questions I ask clients is, "What do you do when life gets tough?" Do you isolate? Or, maybe eat your favorite candy bar and do something else? I want to share this talk with you to let you know healing is a journey and sometimes you have to choose to say, "I need to do this for me." In my life, healing has taken more than time, it's taken God. There is no way I could have made it this far without Him. I want you to listen to this episode and know you are not alone. But even more than this, I want you to know your identity doesn't come from people or things. We gain things and we lose things. People come into our lives and sometimes they leave without a cause or notice. This is why our need for existence must be greater than existential things. One day I discovered my true identity doesn't even come from me, it comes from the mercy God has extended to me. The good news is that she does heal. She does write the book. She does recover. She makes it because she trusts in God and when God is Your Defender you can't lose.

Knowing your identity in God changes everything.

When you know who and whose you are it changes everything. I want you to stand in truth. It will combat every lie around your identity and life. Your circumstance doesn't determine your worth. God does. It's time to be empowered. Get rid of the "junk mail" that may have come to stifle your progress and attack your identity. Your New Day starts the moment you choose to own God's promises and plan for your life. May these words inspire you toward greatness.

    No brakes!

Ever feel like life is going so fast? I do. I remember the day I brought a pair of roller blades and decided to skate in Central Park. Smh. Why did I do that? Lol I learned a valuable lesson that day. Don't try roller blading in Central Park if you don't know how. Yet, God saw me. I literally think He may have chuckled and thought, "There goes my daughter Yedidah again." Lol God sees you friend even when it seems like life is spinning out of control. Tune in to this very funny, yet hope-filled podcast.

    Don't play small

This is going to be good. I learned a valuable and hard lesson. I honestly believed I was doing God a favor by playing small. I don't know if I've ever been so wrong in my life. God didn't need my help. I've heard people talk about false humility before, but surely I wasn't doing that...so I thought.  In this episode I am going to share with you with you how I needed to show up differently. Don't be afraid to take the leap and use your gifts to the glory of God in a bold and unapologetic way. Also, great news I have a new website. You listen to the podcast there along with listen to video content, purchase books, courses and more. Enjoy the podcast. I tried using my microphone this time. Let's see how this works.

It's okay to be imperfectly perfected!

Today, I decided to record outside with the wind bustling through the trees and the acorns falling. I've reached a place in my life where I'm okay with being imperfectly perfect. Sure I love operating in excellence, but I have learned to give myself some grace and show up anyway. I want you to be there too. Social media has attempted to dictate what worth, true happiness and prestige is. So many are wondering when will my life be picture perfect too? But should the success barometer be based solely on wealth or what appears to be the “American Dream.” All depends on whose doing the dreaming. Wealth is more than finances, but also a mindset of contentmentent, hope and faith. Wealth is relationships where you feel valued, seen and heard by people who genuinely love you. Our lives and value were never to be based on a snapshot of someone else's happiness. “I'm me in the moment.” In the sad and happy moments; in the celebratory and temporary moments of seeming defeat, it's still me. I have learned God has been and is with me in those moments even when I wondered, “Why is this happening?” He was with me when I was leaping for joy. He was with me at the birth of my child and with me when I cried knowing I would have to raise her for a time as a solo mom. He's the same God in moments of joyful crescendos and temporary disbelief from trauma and tragedy. It all matters. Nope it wasn't “perfect.” God never said it would be. But you and I get to show up in a world that screams elitism and say “I’m valuable. I'm worth being in whatever space I occupy, and I'm imperfectly perfected. Yes, I belong here too.” I enjoyed recording this for you outside with the wind blowing and all. If your tuning in for first time or not go ahead and give a follow to be in the know of new content and more. It's a podcast where I share powerful vulnerable moments. Because I truly believe the world would be a better place if we learned to celebrate people in each part of their journey. As a woman of faith I know the Lord spent time with those who celebrated and he was also there with those who were cast down. We all matter. So, don't let the social media snippets cause you to compare where you are now. Sometimes you may have to shut it down. You've got other things to do :-). That was the Life Coach coming out. Feel free to take the self-help mini course on my link tree. So glad I was blessed to create it for you. The course will challenge your thinking and cause you to celebrate ever moment of your journey because every part of your journey matters. Here's to celebrating more perfectly imperfect moments. Thanks for listening.
