Almost 10 years ago we played this set in the wonderful place that is Agharti in Odessa, Ukraine. We played the first half of the night, until 03:17:00 on the recording, and then Ivan D1 took control of the turntables masterfully. It was right after the renovation, and the Agharti guys had installed a new soundsystem that sounded marvelous, tuned to excellence. This was one of our first attempts at playing vinyl again after a while tho! And you can hear that right from the first record: it happened to have a dirty, dusty needle right in the beginning, resulting in awful distortion on the first track. And some minor bugs happened later too, so our set is imperfect. But we decided not to edit the file, to keep it true to the source, so we just value it as an archive. Sanyo collected those records over decades, and they have a lot of influences from 20:20 Vision, NRK Sound Division, Dave Lee's early works, Freerange, R&S and lots of other obscure stuff from labels we're sure you've never run into. And you can hear Yuliia on synth FX duty working hard here too: we brought our little Waldorf Blofeld to make a layer of effects on top of the records, which glues everything together. Keeping the whole recording from 2017, now in 2026 we've remastered this set on our fancy tube equipment to give it more sparks, definition, space and clarity. Yeah, we know that valves in general aren't for clarity, but we believe that our SPL Vitalizer MK3-T is a mastering-grade device, since it increased the headroom a bit, giving more voltage to the circuit, and this unit absolutely won for the restoration compared to the other stuff (we also tried the Wes Audio Prometheus and Elysia Xmax for this task, but they weren't as good as this Vitalizer creature in our tests). So, by refining the sound, we gave it a touch of Eat Nobody Studio too. And ye, this was a lovely 14th February night, so we had lot of fun doing that! Hope you dig it!
