Death Blow Podcast

I'm Dark Hel — a devotee of the darkest corners of metal. Black Metal is my blood, but Thrash and Death run through my veins too. This channel is my realm: a place where music speaks louder than words, and the underground lives forever. 🎙️ Sometimes I write — call it an experiment, call it an obsession. Either way, it's raw and it's real. Got an argument you want me to cover? A band I need to talk about? Azgaal Interview - "I made an album with Vrangsinn" S5 Ep.20

In this episode of Death Blow Podcast, we sit down with Naïwyn, the mastermind behind AZGAAL — a French metal project that's been quietly carving out its own dark, esoteric path since the early 2000s. We trace the full journey: from an unreleased demo tape that laid the groundwork for the project, through nearly a decade of underground releases including Solitude & Wisdom (2011) and A Matter of Death (backed by Vrangsin of Carpathian Forest), to the 2022 turning point Apotheosis — the album that redefined AZGAAL's identity and unveiled the occult, magical universe the project is now known for. We also dig into the 2025 collaboration with dungeon synth artist Werna Wolf on the EP Holy Grail, and the brand new release Divine Hitman, out now via Fetzner Death Records. If you're into atmospheric, occult, and esoteric metal — this is a conversation you don't want to miss. 👉 Don't forget to like, share, and subscribe for more interviews from the underground metal scene. 🎸 Find AZGAAL:Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/azgaalmusicFacebook: https://www.facebook.com/people/Azgaal/61593280785222/Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/intl-it/artist/7r5w6MqYUziGpnwhSVIkaMBandcamp: https://azgaal.bandcamp.com/album/a-mort-la-tyrannieYouTube: https://www.youtube.com/@Azgaal #AZGAAL #FrenchMetal #OccultMetal #BlackMetal #DungeonSynth #Naïwyn #DivineHitman #Apotheosis #DeathBlowPodcast #UndergroundMetal #MetalPodcast

ÆoniK Interview: "Jon Nödtveidt Is the Reason This Band Exists" S5 Ep.16

ÆoniK is a melodic black/death metal band from Luxembourg City, Luxembourg, formed in 2024. Despite being a young act, the band wasted no time making an impact on the European metal scene, winning the Wacken Metal Battle Luxembourg 2024 and earning a coveted spot at the legendary Wacken Open Air Festival that same year. Musically, ÆoniK forges a sound where the ferocity of death metal collides with the atmospheric darkness of black metal — intense, dynamic, and immediately distinct. Their compositions balance raw aggression with sweeping, melodic soundscapes that feel both uncompromising and cinematic. The band is built from seasoned musicians with deep roots in the Luxembourg metal underground. Vocalist Jeff Buchette (also of Scarlet Anger and Ed Hunters) took over vocal duties in 2025, bringing a wealth of experience to the front. The rhythm section and twin guitar attack — featuring members with ties to Scarlet Anger, Rude Revelation, Last Prophecy, and Sublind, among others — give the band a tight, road-tested foundation despite their recent formation. ÆoniK released their debut EP Aeonian Lights and single Eternal Descent in 2024, before dropping their first full-length concept album, The Roamer of Heaven and Hell, on April 30, 2026 via Fetzner Death Records. Handling production, mixing, mastering, and artwork entirely in-house, the band maintains full creative control over their music and visual identity. THE SERPENT HAS RISEN… AND IT'S BRUTAL 🐍 | Dimmu Borgir - Grand Serpent Rising Review S5 Ep. 15 #DimmuBorgir #GrandSerpentRising #BlackMetal

After an eight-year wait, the Norwegian symphonic black metal titans are back. Grand Serpent Rising — the 10th studio album from Dimmu Borgir — dropped on May 22, 2026 via Nuclear Blast Records, and in this video I break down every track, every riff, and every orchestral swell across all 69 minutes of this beast. Recorded at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg with longtime collaborator Fredrik Nordström — the same producer behind Puritanical Euphoric Misanthropia and Death Cult Armageddon — the album delivers 13 tracks of pure orchestral symphonic black metal. It's also the band's first album to feature songs in native Norwegian since Stormblåst MMV back in 2005. Featuring the Bratislava Symphony Orchestra on select tracks and additional choir recorded at Propeller Studio in Oslo, this is Dimmu Borgir going for the jugular — and the heavens — at the same time. Is Grand Serpent Rising the comeback album we've been waiting for? Watch and find out. 🔥 📌 Tracklist: TridentiumAscentAs Seen in the UnseenThe QryptfarerUlvgjeld & BlodsodelRepository of Divine TransmutationSlik Minnes en AlkymistPhantom of the NemesisThe ExoneratedRecognizantAt the Precipice of ConvergenceShadows of a Thousand PerceptionsGjǫll🔗 Follow Dimmu Borgir:🌐 Website: https://www.dimmu-borgir.com📘 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/dimmuborgir📸 Instagram (Band): https://www.instagram.com/dimmuborgir📸 Instagram (Shagrath): https://www.instagram.com/shagrathofficial🐦 Twitter/X: https://twitter.com/dimmuborgir▶️ YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/dimmuborgir🎧 Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/dimmuborgir #DimmuBorgir #GrandSerpentRising #GrandSerpentRisingReview #DimmuBorgirReview #DimmuBorgir2026 #SymphonicBlackMetal #BlackMetal #BlackMetalReview #NuclearBlast #MetalAlbumReview #NewMetal2026 #BestMetalAlbums2026 #HeavyMetal #AlbumReview2026 #MetalYouTube #Season5
