    What is Truth!

Key Outcomes Objective truth was defined as discovered facts that remain true regardless of feelings or opinions, while subjective truth was described as an individual’s perspective, feelings, or personal reality. 12Jesus Christ was identified as the ultimate objective truth, with the podcast emphasizing that truth and Jesus are inseparable. 3The discussion established that the Bible is the final authority and should be used to confirm all teachings and experiences. 45The podcast is primarily intended for followers of Christ to address division and confusion within the church, though it remains open to questions from non-believers. 67Podcast format: The episode will be audio-only because video was not working and the hosts were feeling unwell. 89Content scope: The hosts decided to cover only a portion of their script (up to where it says "Jesus Christ is the truth") and continue the rest in a future episode. 910Engagement policy: The podcast will not engage in debates; it is intended to share truth, not to change minds through argument. 1112Titus 1: Paul’s letter to Titus was used to show that truth should be used to teach believers how to live godly lives and to rebuke those who teach false things for dishonest gain. 131415John 18:33–38: The interaction between Pontius Pilate and Jesus was used to illustrate the difference between objective truth and subjective questioning; Pilate asked "What is truth?" but walked away before waiting for the answer. 1617John 14:6: This verse was highlighted as the core objective truth: "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." 1318Jeremiah 17:9 and Proverbs 14:12: These were cited to show that the human heart is deceitful and that a path that "seems right" can still lead to death, contrasting sincere belief with objective truth. 1920Acts (Berea): The example of the Bereans was used to encourage listeners to match all teaching against Scripture to verify its truth. 21Matthew shared a conversation with an agnostic friend who asked him to be calmer when speaking about evil and hell online; Matthew acknowledged he may have lumped non-believers together as "evil" and apologized for that perception. 222324Tessa clarified that while people are created by God and not inherently evil, their actions can be evil, and the challenge for Christians is to love people while recognizing they may not share the same morals. 2526Both hosts agreed that as followers of Christ, they no longer have the "free will" to ignore God's word for the sake of political or social alignment. 262728How to distinguish biblical teaching from a preacher's opinion was posed as a key question for the audience and for future discussion. 29Why the Word of God is misinterpreted and why there is so much division within the body of Christ remains an open topic for further exploration. 3031Matthew: Upload the audio-only podcast episode. 32Tessa and Matthew: Discuss a listener-suggested topic regarding the biblical depiction of hell for a future episode. 33Tessa and Matthew: Continue the discussion on John 14:6 in the next podcast. 534Listeners: Encouraged to email questions to realwithchrist@gmail.com and follow the podcast on the Keeping It Real with Christ Facebook page. 1135Decisions MadeBiblical Examples DiscussedFeedback & Personal ReflectionsOpen QuestionsAction Items
