    In “Any Given Sunday”, Al Pacino plays an aging NFL coach. Toward the end of the movie, he gives a monologue about how football, like life, is a game of inches: “… The inches we need are everywhere around us. On this team we fight for that inch. On this team we tear ourselves and everyone else around us to pieces for that inch. Because we know when we add up all those inches, that's gonna make the difference between winning and losing!" Sure, the long pass to the end zone is exciting. But in between the big plays are a lot of short ones, and those short plays are often decided by a matter of inches. Following Jesus often feels the same way. Some next steps — like salvation or marriage — are like the big play that makes it to the highlight reel on SportsCenter. But other next steps feel more like first downs—not sexy but still moving us closer to the goal of becoming more like Jesus. Thanks Derek Hamby and Newspring Church

    Warning this is an opinion podcast today, we are discussing the world issues today. Moral Relativism — Moral relativism in its simplest terms holds that there are no absolute standards of right and wrong. Christian broadcaster John Ankerberg defines it this way: “Moral relativism is the philosophical theory or belief that there are no absolute or objective standards for moral values which are used to determine right and wrong. A moral relativist believes that there is no un-changing basis for moral values, therefore all moral values are only opinions and must have equal weight.” Ankerberg continues by stating that the main forms of moral relativism “deny the existence of moral absolutes or objective moral truths that apply to all people in all times. According to these…views, moral truths are determined either by personal opinion or group consensus.” In its section on “Moral Relativism,” Wikipedia states: “Moral relativity is a philosophy that states there is no absolute Right or Wrong, and that anyone can freely use his own conscience to decide what is moral.”
