Don't Wait For Your Wake Up Call!

Melissa Deally

As an Integrative Health Practitioner I have come to realize that we simply haven't been taught how to optimize our health, and that the average person has habits that are negatively impacting their health, due to this lack of knowledge, through no fault of their own. Public health and our school system simply don't teach us enough about nutrition, sleep, stress, gut health or how interconnected our bodies are! Modern life has us more sleep deprived, stressed out and the sickest ever, and I believe it is time to bring this education to you, so that you CAN be empowered in your health and you can then make the right choices for you and your family. The choices you make today impact your future 1 year, 5 years, 10 years + from now. It is never too early to start looking after your health, as Health is your TRUE wealth....without it what do you have? I use this podcast to support my passion project - non-profit, Girls Matter (www.girlsmatter.ca), breaking the poverty cycle 1 girl, 1 family, 1 village at a time. The mission is to keep girls in school and stop teenage marriages, because school isn’t free in over 50 countries around the world and when parents have to make the difficult choices of feeding their kids or paying for school, food wins. And when the girls hit their teen years, they will often be married off so that someone else becomes responsible to feed them. Keeping girls in school instead creates a generational ripple effect, because an educated girl is more than twice as likely to ensure her own children are educated. Educating girls also grows the GDP of countries, when they get into the workforce. This is how together, we can change the world. Guests on this podcast are invited to donate to this important cause. Growth, Restoration & Reclamation: A New Healing Model | Ep 294

✨ What happens when you've achieved the success you were told to pursue, yet something inside still feels unfulfilled? In Episode 294, I sit down with Graham Skidmore, whose 21-year career at Rocket Mortgage eventually led to burnout and a healing journey that brought together Western science with Eastern, Indigenous, and spiritual approaches. 🌿 Rather than viewing his unique physiology solely through diagnostic labels, Graham began exploring a different question: What if these differences could also hold gifts? 🧠💫 We explore the integrated healing model behind the Harmony Health Institute, addressing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual aspects of the person. Graham shares his framework of Growth, Restoration, and Reclamation — shifting from seeing life as happening to us toward exploring what our experiences may teach us, transforming our relationship with past trauma, and reclaiming parts of ourselves we may have lost along the way. ❤️‍🩹 This conversation is an invitation to look beyond one-size-fits-all healthcare and explore what whole-person healing can mean for you. Free gift: For the first 10 people who respond by connecting with me on my website, (https://harmonyhealthinstitute.com) I will offer a free session to help people understand themselves as beings of consciousness going through an experiential learning process that expands their consciousness, gifts, abilities, and wisdom and offer guidance to assist them with healing and enjoying their journey. Episode Summary:Key TakeawaysCatalyst for Change: Burnout as a Rocket Mortgage executive led to a healing journey integrating Western and Eastern approaches. Western medicine's labels (ADHD, etc.) felt limiting; Eastern views reframed his unique physiology as a spiritual gift, not a defect.Integrated Healing Model: The Harmony Health Institute provides "scalable individualized care" by addressing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies. This model offers choice (tech-guided vs. practitioner-led) to meet diverse needs, contrasting with Western medicine's "one box" approach.Core Philosophy: Graham Skidmore's framework—Growth, Restoration, Reclamation—shifts perspective from "things happening to us" to "things happening for us." This reframing transmutes trauma into gratitude and empowers individuals to reclaim their authentic selves. TopicsCatalyst: From Corporate Burnout to Healing JourneyGraham Skidmore's 21-year career at Rocket Mortgage culminated in burnout and unfulfillment despite achieving traditional success.Western Medicine's Approach:Diagnoses (ADHD, dyslexia, etc.) provided labels but felt limiting, causing a loss of confidence.Prescriptions offered temporary relief but didn't address the root cause.Integrated Healing Approach:Combined Western science with Eastern, indigenous, and spiritual practices.Shifted perspective: unique physiology is a spiritual gift, not a defect. This integrated view enabled true healing and clarified his life's purpose. The Harmony Health Institute: An Integrated Healing ModelMission: Provide "scalable individualized care" where traditional medicine leaves off, focusing on life enjoyment, not just biomarkers.Approach: Address the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies.Framework: Growth, Restoration, Reclamation.Growth: Reframe life events as catalysts for learning.Restoration: Transmute trauma (guilt, shame) into gratitude.Reclamation: Reclaim lost parts of the authentic self.Structure: Offers choice in delivery (tech-guided vs. practitioner-led) and integrates diverse modalities:Traditional: Psychology, psychotherapy, chiropractic, PT, addiction counseling.Non-Traditional: Yoga, breathwork, human development (e.g., Human Design). About the Guest: Graham Skidmore is a former Rocket Mortgage executive turned entrepreneur, activist, and mystic. After reaching the traditional markers of success — six-figure income, the house, the car, the country club membership — he found himself burned out, miserable, and unfulfilled. That collapse became the catalyst for a deeper healing journey, one he now teaches as a cycle of personal growth: restoration of the genuine, authentic self and reclamation of the connection with the higher self — transforming life events from happening to us into happening for us. Graham now works at the intersection of consciousness, healing, and human potential, building life-centric ecosystems — education, tools, community, and systems — that give people the infrastructure to understand themselves as beings of consciousness going through an experiential learning process that expands their consciousness, gifts, abilities, and wisdom. His work centers on providing power to the people, starting in the health and wellness space, and reflects his belief that technology, including AI, should be used to enrich human agency rather than replace it. His broader mission is to build bridges that deepen our understanding of the human spectrum and experience — he sees this work as creating space for new ways of being to emerge during Earth's justice-through-restoration period, focused on living in alignment with the divine intelligent design. He believes that when individuals are truly supported, we can build a world of happy, healthy, productive, and empowered people. Episode Summary:Key TakeawaysWork stress is a crisis: 6/10 US/Canadian workers are "workaholics" (defined by constant work thoughts, Sunday anxiety, Friday relief), leading to burnout and health issues.Burnout rewires the brain for survival: Chronic stress depletes GABA, shifting the brain from creative problem-solving to a reactive "fight or flight" mode.Simple tools calm the nervous system: Techniques like conscious breathing, hand massage, and self-hugs trigger calming neurotransmitters (serotonin, oxytocin) to counteract stress.Free resources are available: Happy Organizations offers a free, anonymous "Workaholics Anonymous Lab" and a complimentary neuroscience workshop for Melissa's audience. TopicsThe Problem: Work Stress & BurnoutDaniela's work was inspired by her own stress-induced hospitalization 20 years ago.The average person spends ~90,000 hours at work, making purpose and happiness essential."Don't wait for your wake up call" → Find purpose now to avoid deathbed regrets."Workaholics Anonymous Lab"A free, anonymous online support group (Saturdays via Google Meets).Created by Happy Organizations, Inc. (a collective of scientists, strategists, etc.) to address the crisis.Goal: Provide tools to regulate the nervous system without organizational pressure.Rationale: Free access ensures no worker is left without support due to cost. The Science: How Stress Impacts the BrainChronic stress depletes GABA: This neurotransmitter, which normally promotes calm, is overused.Brain shifts to survival mode: The system enters "fight or flight," focusing on defense over creativity.Consequences:Impaired decision-makingReduced conflict resolution skillsIncreased susceptibility to illnessProductivity research: Shorter workweeks (e.g., 4-day) increase productivity and loyalty, proving less work with more consciousness is more effective. The Solution: Simple Neuroscience ToolsThese tools are divided into pre-work, during-work, and post-work categories.Conscious Breathing:Stress → fast, shallow mouth breathing, which signals danger to the nervous system.Technique: Nose breath, hold, mouth exhale. This calms the system and improves brain function.Self-Massage:Massaging hands and fingers triggers calming neurotransmitters (serotonin, oxytocin).Benefit: A discreet way to self-regulate during stressful meetings.Self-Hugs:A powerful way to self-soothe, best done in private (e.g., a bathroom break).Water:Drinking water and submerging hands can have a calming effect. Episode Summary: Key TakeawaysPersonal Burnout as Catalyst: Jessica's 90-hour workweeks led to a public nervous breakdown, which she recovered from using functional health. This experience became the foundation for her practice, Phoenix Functional Health.Proactive Health Strategy: The core message is to address health issues early ("whispers") to prevent major crises ("screaming"). This proactive approach treats health as a business asset, enabling founders to operate at their peak.Functional Labs for Precision: Functional lab tests are the cornerstone of the method. Unlike standard medical tests, they use optimal health ranges to identify subtle imbalances in hormones, gut health, and more, eliminating guesswork.Holistic, Phased Implementation: A 6-month program uses comprehensive lab data to create a "Performance Blueprint." Implementation is phased, starting with small, high-impact changes to avoid client overwhelm. TopicsJessica's Origin Story: Burnout & Functional HealthJessica's career began in massage therapy (2008), focusing on the mind-body connection through Shiatsu and Qigong.A period of extreme overwork (90-hour weeks) led to a public nervous breakdown, characterized by severe irritability and feeling physically fragile.Key Insight: Recovery showed the limits of "soft" healing arts alone. Functional health testing revealed fundamental imbalances (gut, hormones, stress) that were the root cause.Outcome: Correcting these imbalances restored her resilience, allowing her to handle a 70-hour workweek without feeling overwhelmed. This experience inspired her to help other founders avoid the same path. The Problem: Normalizing "Common" SymptomsA critical distinction was made between "common" (frequently experienced) and "normal" (a sign of optimal health).Common but Not Normal Symptoms:HeadachesOver-reliance on caffeineFatiguePoor sleep (e.g., waking at 2–3 a.m.)The Body's Communication Analogy:Whispers: Early, subtle symptoms.Yelling: Major crises or disease.Societal Pattern: Waiting for a major crisis before addressing health, which leads to longer, more difficult recovery. The Solution: Functional Lab Testing & Personalized PlansFunctional lab tests provide objective data to interpret the body's signals, removing guesswork and client self-blame.Key Differences from Standard Medical Tests:Standard: Uses broad "normal" ranges based on a sick population, often missing subtle issues.Functional: Uses optimal ranges for thriving health, identifying imbalances before they become severe.Melissa's Example: Daily migraines were resolved by identifying and correcting low progesterone via functional labs, a cause her doctor missed.Core Principle: Symptoms are not isolated.Same System → Different Symptoms: Hormonal imbalance can cause headaches in one person and fatigue in another.Same Symptom → Different Systems: Headaches can stem from hormones for one person and inflammation for another. Conclusion: This requires a personalized, non-cookie-cutter approach. Phoenix Functional Health Process1. Comprehensive Lab Testing: A suite of tests provides a full picture of interconnected systems.Tests Cover: Hormones, immune function, inflammation, gut balance, minerals, food sensitivities, detox capacity, blood sugar, and thyroid function.2. Performance Blueprint: A personalized plan is developed from lab data and client history.Includes: Diet, exercise, stress management, sleep hygiene, and targeted supplementation to resource the body.3. Phased Implementation: The 6-month program introduces changes incrementally.Rationale: Prevents overwhelm by focusing on small, high-impact steps.Goal: Not perfection, but learning the body's language to make informed choices. About the Guest: Jessica Van Antoine, FDN-P, is the founder of Phoenix Functional Health, a performance health practice for high-achieving female founders who are doing many of the “right” things—eating well, exercising, taking supplements, trying to manage stress—and still don’t quite feel like themselves. After nearly 20 years in health and wellness, Jessica has learned that fatigue, brain fog, restless sleep, irritability, and slower recovery rarely belong in separate boxes. They’re signals. Her work combines functional lab testing with personalized nutrition, lifestyle, and nervous-system support to uncover the larger pattern, reduce the guesswork, and identify what matters first. This work is personal. During a chapter of 90-hour workweeks, Jessica kept pushing until the glass finally shattered: she found herself curled beneath her desk, sobbing, unable to carry one more demand. Rebuilding taught her that the answer wasn’t less ambition. Her body needed better resources. Today, Jessica helps women listen before their bodies have to scream. Her goal isn’t to hand them another overwhelming wellness plan, but to help them understand what’s draining the body and brain their business depends on—so they can feel like themselves again and have enough of themselves left for the lives they’re building. Your Health, Your Choice: Exploring Healing Beyond Borders | Ep 291

🌎✨ What if the healthcare option you've been searching for exists somewhere else in the world? Inspired by my recent trip to Split, Croatia, Episode 191 explores medical tourism — why people travel internationally for more affordable care, shorter wait times, specialized treatments, and healing options that may not be available at home. We explore the possibilities alongside the importance of researching providers, understanding the evidence, considering the risks, and planning for follow-up care. ✈️🩺 💫 Most importantly, this episode is about self-advocacy and self-responsibility. There is more than one way to heal, and healing is never one-size-fits-all. Ask questions, seek second opinions, explore your options, listen to your body, and find practitioners who respect your voice and your personal goals. 🌿 Your healing journey belongs to you — and sometimes finding the resources you need means looking beyond the borders of what you've always known. 🌎✨ Notes supporting this episode: CDC website on medical tourism My Non-Profit – Girls Matter - https://girlsmatter.ca Our Book (episode 249) - Empowered: The Journey From Victim Island To Solution City: https://www.amazon.ca/dp/1989849776?psc=1&smid=A3DWYIK6Y9EEQB&ref_=chk_typ_imgToDp” Introduction video about Girls Matter: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1R3-xqzJLZW14om1PhFClcU_oRSZ8zgip/view Personal Growth and CertifiacatonTrainings: Impact Maker Alliance: https://ima-hub.base44.app/explore?ref=melissa DHARMA PATH™ 4 – in – 1 designation trainings: https://amplifyimpactacademy.com/quantum-life-mastery-school Meet Your Unconscious Mind Workshop: https://amplifyimpactacademy.com/um FREE 7 Day Trial: NuCalm Products to recalibrate your nervous system / improve your sleep:: https://nucalm.com Use my promo code at checkout: YGHJ to get 15% off your monthly subscription, every month. Episode Summary: Key TakeawaysMedical tourism is a growing option for Americans seeking care abroad for lower costs, shorter waits, or access to unapproved treatments.Thorough due diligence is essential to mitigate risks like variable standards, lack of follow-up care, and hidden costs (e.g., travel, complications).Self-advocacy is key: Ask critical questions of all practitioners (conventional and alternative) to understand options, risks, and evidence, ensuring decisions align with personal goals.A holistic view of healing is critical, addressing the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual bodies to create an environment where the body can heal. The Rise of Medical TourismInspired by a trip to Split, Croatia, where people travel for high-quality, affordable care (e.g., dental work).CDC data: Millions of Americans travel annually for procedures like dental work, cosmetic surgery, and cancer treatments.Primary motivations:Lower costsShorter waiting listsAccess to specialists or unapproved treatmentsSeeking alternative healthcare philosophies The Holistic Healing FrameworkHealing requires addressing root causes, not just symptoms.Four bodies for healing:Physical: Nutrition, movement, sleep, toxicity.Emotional: Trauma release, stress management (shifting from fight-or-flight to rest-and-digest).Mental: Beliefs about healing; a negative mindset can block progress.Spiritual: Purpose and connection. The Imperative of Self-AdvocacySelf-advocacy means participating in your care, not abandoning conventional medicine.Key questions to ask any practitioner:What are my other options? What happens if I do/don't do this? Are there clinical trials or complementary approaches? What does the research actually say?Find practitioners who welcome your voice; you are the expert on your own body. Due Diligence for Medical TourismResearch the provider:Credentials, accreditation, number of procedures performed.Outcomes, complication rates, and published research (not just testimonials).Understand post-procedure logistics:Who handles follow-up care? What is the plan for complications (e.g., infection) at home? Will your home doctor have access to records? Will your insurance cover complications from an international procedure?Be aware of variable standards: Licensing, infection control, and device regulations differ globally.Factor in total cost: Include travel, lodging, medication, lost income, and potential complication care. What’s Making Our Children Sick? A Pediatrician’s Perspective | Ep.290

What’s really impacting the health of our children? 🌱👶 In this thought-provoking episode, Dr. Perro shares her perspective on the potential role of GMOs, glyphosate, environmental toxins, nutrition, and the gut microbiome in childhood health. She also explores homeopathy and why she believes empowering parents to ask questions, trust their observations, and advocate for their children is essential. 💛✨ 💛 Through nutrition, homeopathy, careful observation, and her book Making Our Children Well, she encourages parents to ask questions, become informed advocates, and consider each child's individual needs rather than relying solely on a one-size-fits-all approach. Episode Summary: Key Takeaways GMOs & Glyphosate Drive Chronic Illness: The 1996 introduction of GMOs and glyphosate correlates with a surge in childhood gut issues and autism. Glyphosate, an antibiotic and chelator, damages the gut microbiome and transports toxins like aluminum across the blood-brain barrier.Infant Formula & Vaccines Are Toxic: Infant formula is a baby's first ultra-processed food, containing undeclared mercury from high-fructose corn syrup. The vaccine schedule has exploded from 5 doses in 1962 to 75 today, overwhelming immature immune systems with toxic adjuvants like aluminum.Empowerment Is the Solution: Dr. Perro's book, Making Our Children Well, provides a practical guide for parents to use nutrition and homeopathy, shifting from a pharma-centric model to one of self-empowerment and intuitive observation.Corporate & Regulatory Obstruction: Dr. Perro faced significant resistance, including vetoed legislation for clean infant formula, censorship from YouTube and publishers, and an $800k campaign by Abbott (Similac) to block GMO labeling. Topics The Problem: Environmental Toxins & Rising Illness Dr. Perro's Path to Integrative Medicine:A pediatric ER doctor for 45 years, Dr. Perro was driven to holistic care by her son's health issues and the dramatic 5-minute efficacy of a homeopathic remedy. Her research into GMOs and pesticides began after successfully fighting a toxic pesticide spray in California. She observed a direct correlation between the 1996 introduction of GMOs and a sharp rise in chronic gut issues and autism in her practice. The Toxic Food System:GMOs are engineered for herbicide resistance, not nutrition. They are at least 20% less nutrient-dense.Glyphosate (Roundup) is an antibiotic that damages the gut microbiome. It is a chelator, binding essential minerals (calcium, magnesium) and transporting toxic metals (aluminum) across the blood-brain barrier. The gut microbiome, which coordinates all major organ systems, is severely disrupted by these toxins.Toxins in Early Life:Infant Formula: A study of 40 formulas found undeclared mercury from high-fructose corn syrup.Abbott (Similac) spent $800k to block GMO labeling in California.Legislation for clean formula has been repeatedly vetoed.Vaccines: The schedule has increased from 5 doses in 1962 to 75 today. This overwhelms immature immune systems with toxic adjuvants (aluminum, formaldehyde).Precision Pediatrics: Dr. Perro argues immunomodulation should not be used on a child without first evaluating their unique terrain (microbiome, genetics, toxic load). The Solution: Empowerment Through Nutrition & Homeopathy Empowering Parents: Dr. Perro's book, Making Our Children Well, is a practical guide for parents to take control of their family's health.Nutrition Section: Covers pantry setup, food elimination, and microbiome health.Homeopathy Section: Provides remedies for common issues (croup, sprains) from prenatal care to adolescence.Resources: Includes vetted brands and organizations.Format: Designed as a paperback with note sections for tracking individual responses. The "Flicka" Story:Dr. Perro used homeopathy to save her sick chicken, Flicka, from near death.Remedies Used:Arsenicum Album for weakness and warmth-seeking.Carbo Vegetabilis for a crash with blue comb.Arnica Montana for a concussion. This demonstrates the power of observation and individualized treatment."Don't Wait for Your Wake Up Call" → Self-Empowerment:Parents are the best judges of their children's health.Develop intuitive observation skills to guide treatment, as a 15-minute pediatrician visit is insufficient. About the Guest: Michelle Perro, MD, DHom is a seasoned clinician with nearly 45 years of experience in pediatrics and integrative medicine, dedicated to treating children and families. A Yale graduate, she trained at Mount Sinai Medical School, Bellevue Hospital and NYU, later serving as Director of a Pediatric Emergency Department in NYC and spending over a decade at UCSF Benioff Oakland Children’s Hospital. For the past 25 years, Dr. Perro has championed integrative approaches to health, focusing on the impact of GM foods and pesticides on children’s well-being. Healing Beyond the Mind: How Trauma Lives in the Body | Ep.289

What if your body has been holding onto experiences your mind has long forgotten? 🤯 In this powerful conversation, Kelsey shares her remarkable journey from struggling with IBS, thyroid issues, and nervous system dysregulation to discovering that unresolved trauma was at the root of her physical symptoms. Through somatic breathwork, plant medicine, and deep inner healing, she learned that lasting transformation happens when we address the connection between the mind and body—not just the symptoms. Today, Kelsey is helping others on their own healing journeys, preparing to facilitate Iboga ceremonies, host transformational breathwork retreats, and write her first book. Her story is a beautiful reminder that healing unfolds one courageous step at a time and that even our greatest challenges can become our greatest purpose. ✨🌎 🎁 Special Offer: Kelsey is offering a FREE group breathwork session this fall! Episode Summary: Key TakeawaysKelsey's healing journey revealed that physical symptoms (IBS, thyroid issues) were rooted in unaddressed trauma, which caused her health to relapse despite initial progress.Plant medicine (Iboga) and somatic breathwork were key to releasing stored trauma from the body, a process talk therapy alone couldn't achieve.Kelsey's future includes Iboga facilitation in Colombia, initiation into the Bwiti tribe in Gabon, and writing a book—goals previously impossible due to nervous system dysregulation.Offer: A complimentary group breathwork session this fall. Email Kelsey.treeoflife@gmail.com to register. TopicsThe Problem: Physical Symptoms Rooted in TraumaKelsey's journey began in fitness, using intense exercise to manage an indescribable internal feeling.During COVID, she pursued functional health training (Dr. Cabral's IHP program) to address personal issues:IBSLow thyroidSkin breakoutsProtocols provided initial relief, but symptoms repeatedly returned, revealing a deeper root cause. The Solution: Embodied Healing ModalitiesInsight: Reading The Body Keeps the Score connected her physical symptoms to stored trauma, explaining her severe nervous system dysregulation (e.g., inability to sit still, panic attacks in traffic).Iboga (Plant Medicine):A spontaneous trip to a retreat in Colombia led to an Iboga ceremony.Outcome: A profound release of childhood trauma, symbolized by a "lightning bolt" leaving her body, resolving her nervous system issues.Somatic Breathwork:Sought a trauma-release tool accessible to clients.Personal Breakthrough: During training, a psychic reading connected a heart contraction to unresolved trauma from a 2017 abusive relationship.Process: A subsequent breathwork session triggered an intense physical release (shaking, crying), finally processing the trauma.Significance: This experience provided direct insight into how trauma manifests physically and how breathwork can release it, making her a more empathetic practitioner. The Practice: Mind-Body IntegrationKelsey integrates mind-body principles into her IHP practice, explaining the trauma connection to physical ailments. She respects client readiness, offering resources without pressure.Example: A client resistant to therapy eventually sought help for self-sabotage, demonstrating the importance of planting seeds.Philosophy: Healing is a lifelong journey of consistent "baby steps," not a single destination. The Future: Expansion & PurposeKelsey's healing has opened new doors:Iboga Facilitation: Invited to facilitate Iboga ceremonies in Colombia after initiation into the Bwiti tribe in Gabon this year.Book Writing: Joined a mentorship program, overcoming a past belief that she couldn't write due to nervous system dysregulation.Breathwork Retreats: Planning future retreats combining healing, travel, and fun.Core Principle: "Lead with love," finding gratitude in past challenges to fuel her purpose. Episode Summary: Key TakeawaysPodcast Recorded: Dr. Porter was a guest on the "Don't Wait for Your Wake Up Call" podcast, discussing brain fitness, stress, and reprogramming the unconscious mind.Podcast Key Message: "You are the one you've been waiting for." Take personal responsibility for your health and happiness, as you have the power to create your reality. TopicsPodcast Recording: "Don't Wait for Your Wake Up Call"Dr. Porter's Background:Grew up with his father, a Silva instructor, who used hypnosis to overcome alcoholism.Invented the MC Square, the first portable light and sound machine, inspired by how fire's 10 Hz frequency induces relaxation.Reverse-engineered the SILS device (Sensory Input Learning System) after its creator passed, leading to BrainTap.The Brain's Electrical Nature:MIT research confirms the brain is an electrical system; the electron transport chain (thoughts) leads, and chemical reactions follow.A 1994 UK study proved the body is a Wi-Fi network, not just a chemical solution. The body emits infrared light (photons) that codes cellular instructions. A COVID study found those viewing it as a threat emitted 200x less light than those viewing it as a challenge.Stress & Recovery:Stress is growth, but chronic stress without recovery prevents neuroplasticity.A newborn's brain operates at 18.1 volts; this drops to ~10.1 volts by age 21 due to neural pruning.Dementia Study: BrainTap increased brain voltage, removing all participants from the dementia scale in six weeks.Sleep as a Sport: Quality sleep is non-negotiable for brain health.Requirement: 1 hour deep sleep (for glial lymphatic detox) + 2 hours REM (for organizing/prioritizing).Finding: A study of Australian coal miners showed they slept 10 hours but got only 1 minute deep sleep and 2 minutes REM.Reprogramming the Unconscious Mind:The unconscious mind, like a fourth-grader, never loses an argument; it must be given a better task.Change Personal History Technique (NLP): Re-experience a memory with new wisdom. The brain cannot distinguish real from imagined, neutralizing the past's negative impact.Analogy: Forgive the person, forget the experience, but retain the learning. Discard the "green and fuzzy" leftovers of the past."Don't Wait for Your Wake Up Call" Meaning:"You don't need a breakdown to have a breakthrough."Every morning is your wake-up call to activate your infinite potential. The greatest limit is your belief system, not your consciousness. About the Guest: Dr. Patrick K. About
