    Today we chat with Richard Ireland, OAM. Richard was educated at local schools in Cairns, Brisbane Grammar School and, James Cook University. He is a Joint Managing Director of FR Ireland Pty Ltd, Motor Dealers in Cairns est 1923 and has been involved in a number of Boards such as Advance Cairns, Reef & Rainforest Research Centre Limited, Far North Queensland Youth Assistance Fund Inc, Motor Traders Association of Qld, Cairns Taipans Basketball Pty Ltd, Rotary Club of Cairns.  Richard continues to have an interest in and provides assistance to local Not For Profits. Richard was named an Outstanding Alumni from James Cook University, a Paul Harris Fellow of Rotary, and recipient of the Medal of The Order of Australia.  He has also received several motor industry awards.
