The Silence of God

Unity in Christ

Pastor Ryan, teaching from Philippians 2:1–11, says unity is living in harmony and is “found among us,” produced by the Holy Spirit rather than manufactured. 10 Axioms of Godly Leadership

Uzziah: God on the Shelf

Hezekiah: the bird in the cage

Pastor Ben's sermon focuses on Hezekiah of Judah, who became king at 25 and reigned 29 years, with his story spanning 2 Kings, 2 Chronicles, and Isaiah. It describes Hezekiah’s early reforms: reopening and repairing the temple, restoring Mosaic worship and Levites, removing Asherah poles, destroying Moses’ bronze serpent after it became an idol, and calling refugees and the people to return to the Lord, noting his exceptional trust in God. David: the King who needed a Shepherd

David Faith of FCC continues a series on Israel’s kings by examining why Israel asked Samuel for a king and contrasting Israel’s desire for a world-shaped king with God’s Word-shaped design for kings. God gives Saul as a mirror of their misplaced values, then replaces him with David. David Faith explains “a man after God’s own heart” as submitting one’s will to God’s will, noting David’s repentance despite serious sins. He then expounds Psalm 23, presenting God as the good shepherd who provides, the warrior guide who protects through the “valley of the shadow of death,” and the victorious host who defeats enemies and pursues with goodness and mercy. He urges submitting to God through Word and prayer, sharing in community, and leading others to Jesus, the true Shepherd-King.

Matt Miller guest speaks, and reads from 1 Corinthians 15:1–4 to define the gospel as good news—an event centered on Jesus’ death and resurrection—and urges listeners to remember why it was and is good news to them.
