As someone who grew up in Maine for 35 years and I have been gone now for almost 10 years. It was kind of frustrating right off the bat that someone who lives on the mid coast doesn’t even know that there’s a Princeton Maine….
Yes, there are a lot of lakes in Maine and some of them have weird names. I forget the one that you referenced about being up top and it being called something, but for an example: do you know anything about DownEast?
I lived up there.. yes up (I am from southern Maine) and when I lived up there for about three years, I wondered why they called it down east when it’s the furthest east and north of southern Maine.. but if you do your homework, there’s a lot of interesting facts about Maine. I miss the state. I come back as often as I can. I just think your podcast would be a little bit better if you looked into details before recording. I was hoping that the last story was gonna be about Catherine Hill, which is in Washington County. It sounded like it was going to be, but it wasn’t and I know for a fact personally people who have common contact with Catherine, the ghost of Catherine.
That would be a good one to look into
