This week however, we decided to address a serious topic for once. Islam is Palestinian and Hugo’s family is of Jewish origin, so we think together we can bring a unique perspective to the current situation in Israel and Palestine. We wanted to stand together against the human rights violations being perpetrated by Israel and the IDF, counter the narrative that it is “anti-semitic” to criticize Israel’s actions and talk through our personal feelings and perspectives on this situation. First, we discussed recent gaming news: E3 coming back as an all digital event, the rumors of Kojima making a new game with Xbox financing and the continuing spiral of bad news about Sony's first party strategy for this generation. Then, for this week's Night City Report, Hugo was actually too burned out to play video games so we talk about Islam's time playing Disco Elysium instead.
