A History of Financial Markets
"History doesn't repeat itself, but it often rhymes." - Mark Twain. In order to better ourselves as investors (and in life), it is imperative that we learn from the past. In A History of Financial Markets, follow along as your hosts Brett Schafer and Ryan Henderson do just that. Starting with the United States at the turn of the 20th century, each season will chronicle a decade of financial history. Listen and learn about: The most important business/investing figures from each decade, landmark events including all the major panics, recessions, and depressions, and the interworkings of the financial world. The goal of A History of Financial Markets is to teach people about the past so they can understand why/how we got to where we are today.
Detailed and well researched

Hosts move at a slow pace at almost couple of years per episode. Sometimes it is couple of days per episode. It is like watching (hearing) some movies / documentaries like Margin Call, big short and last days of Lehman. The hosts have done deep research into historical happenings through multiple sources of books and publications. Wish they would move faster though.
1910’s to 1920’s was a good season

The host make you feel like you were an investor in the early 1900’s. Fun to experience that.
