    Greetings beautiful people! Thank you for rocking with us on another episode of, "How Did We Get Here?" with Jay Carter and Skeens. In this Ep prompted by one of my sisters, we ask the ladies if we missed the mark by speaking as if most women want to be married in a healthy relationship raising a family? What are we missing that the modern woman wants? Do women feel like they missed it in life if they are more devoted to family than a career? Among other things, we spend some time discussing Simone Biles and mental health in sports and life in general. Is the focus on mental health actually leading to us being healthier or more triggered and fragile? Were our forefathers better at masking stress and trauma? With so many positive attributes to offer, why does the media paint a picture of "deadbeat dads" running rampant like the plague, especially within the Africa American community? Why does there seem to be a concerted effort to demonize and diminish the impact of a good father?     Thank you once again for tuning into anther episode of, How Did We Get Here? This week we touch on Skeens turning 41 and Jay getting hustled by kids at the jump park. We also recap the response by Rory and Mal, to the drama and turmoil from the Joe Budden podcast. It seems that they have had more stake in the business than we previously thought. It's all still a conversation about relationships and how lack of communication mixed with money can topple even the tightest of crews. Lastly we discuss the "overnight celebrity" of ex NBA player and "bust" Kwame Brown. Skeens lays out a precise breakdown of the controversial comments by Stephen Jackson and Matt Barnes from the popular show, "All The Smoke." Many have jumped on the Kwame train and he is pumping out videos left and right averaging about 150K views per video on Youtube. Is Kwame justified in his spicy responses? Is he speaking to an overall message of pro masculinity and strong community... Or is he just a hypocrite that is using social medias love for controversy and drama to get clicks?

With the recent internet uproar over Derrick Jaxn, we wondered why women would believe something so obviously too good to be true. But I think it goes back into some of the commentary that we here from Kevin Samuels... Women want a fairytale and will do anything to believe it past better judgement and obvious signs. Women how often have you found yourself in a situation that you knew was wrong yet you stayed and continued to willingly believe the lie. Overall I think Derrick Jaxn physically gave women what they wanted in a "tall, dark, and handsome" attractive man... And then on top of that he was saying everything they wanted to hear and was usually absolving women of accountability and responsibility in the relationship. Again, as Kevin Samuels has highlighted most of us fall somewhere towards the middle in society by way of looks and finance. But, women often who are average have an expectation to get an outlier 20,10, 1 percentile type guy and that guys has ALL the options and ALL the leverage. I would shoot low and say Derrick Jaxn's audience was probably 80% women and this love on delusion made him a 6 figure a month earner. Are we here to kill the brother? No. But it is a cautionary lesson worth evaluating and carrying it further to see how this thinking impacts us in other relationships in life by way of unrealistic improper expectations. We pray that Derrick and his wife can make the true adjustments for a healthy relationship.
