These two have just the right amount of reverence, sass, humor, deep knowledge and love for gardening, and respect for the environment. Absolutely love listening while I’m working and weeding. I’ve been following Leslie since her solo act and always enjoyed her friendly podcast. Now with Marianne, I think she is having more fun! This duo really covers all the bases for a fantastic gardening podcast! I finally got around to $upporting their endeavor and looking forward to the extra added bonuses this will bring. Listen as the hosts whine about nasty native plant puritans hounding them as these brave iconoclasts extoll the virtues of a brand new cultivar of maiden grass. It certainly won’t become a garden nuisance or the ugly, misshapen papercut patch that all previous breeding efforts have reverted to. These two visionaries are always having to defend their gardening choices from people pointing out that perhaps there’s more to gardening than just recreating an image they saw in Better Homes and Gardens in 1998. It may be their one and only job to research plants and communicate about them but why should that mean they don’t read us verbatim whatever slop ChatGPT spit out when they asked it basic information about their chosen field? Truly an unmissable podcast if you want to hear two stubborn people blather on about ugly, expensive kitsch while periodically adjusting the chip on their respective shoulders. This is like listening to two people patting each other on the back for courageously choosing to add asbestos tiles and lead paint to their new basement remodel because they just look so much better. You’re not heroes for doing whatever the hell you want regardless of the problems you create for the environment and future stewards of the land, you’re just selfish.

The chemistry between these two is fantastic. They each garden differently, are not rigid, and inspire me to keep my mind open and my creative juices flowing. Love it!
