When you talk about the 2026 American 7s Football League, one player who deserves recognition is David Tender of the Silk City Animals. Tender is a quarterback who helped lead the Animals through an impressive 2026 campaign. Silk City finished the regular season with 5–1–1 (5 wins, 1 loss, and 1 tie) record and advanced to the Eastern Conference Championship. Tender has also made his presence known as a runner, including a spectacular 30-yard touchdown scramble where he completely evaded the defense during the season. But Friday night, Carolina returned to Jacksonville and changed the outcome. In the second week of the 2026 NFL preseason, the Panthers defeated the Jaguars, 34-17.
