    Lately I've Been Telling Tall Tales "College Freedom"

    Today we continue the series of short stories.  Today’s tall tale is titled “College Freedom”. It tells the story of a mom dropping off her child at college and the feelings that come along with that.     Telling Tall Tales "The Beach Read"

    We are kicking off a new series today called Telling Tall Tales.  In this series I will be sharing short stories I wrote on all different types of topics.  I thought it was only fitting to begin with a story titled “The Beach Read”, since we are saying goodbye to summer.  This is a fun story about a day at the beach for a  midlife woman who has been feeling a little down but a chance encounter changes her perspective.  Now for my listeners who know me well, or even those you may not, it may cross your mind during this series if these stories I have written are true or are about me.  Well, let me just say this,  like any tall tale there is a small grain of truth to it but I will leave it up to you to guess or ponder what that truth may be, and maybe you don’t see a piece of me in the story but instead you find a piece of you.

    Lately I've Been Sitting with Summer

    It's here, It is finally here.   It is summer.  This girl, Summer Amy,  is happy. Shorts on and sun kissed cheeks. I am here for it all.  Are you?  Have you made your plans, booked your vacation, planned your adventures?  I have,  but I have also made some different kinds of plans. Some plans to sit.  Today’s episode is a slow look at summer.  I take a moment to look at summer’s invitation to sit back and relax.  There is no better way to kick off this summer than with a clear perspective on what summer is all about.
