7: Become the most average version of yourself

Welcome to the "Zen Quest Daily" podcast. Today, we're going to be discussing the idea of striving for mediocrity and how it can actually lead to a happier, more fulfilling life. First, let's define what it means to be "average." In this context, it means being ordinary, unremarkable, and unassuming. It means not standing out from the crowd and not trying to be anything more than what you are. Now, you might be thinking, "Why would anyone want to be average? Isn't the whole point of life to be successful and exceptional?" And while there's certainly nothing wrong with striving for success, the problem is that our society often puts so much pressure on us to be the best, the brightest, and the most talented. This can lead to feelings of inadequacy, stress, and burnout. But by embracing mediocrity and being content with being average, we can actually find a sense of peace and fulfillment. We can let go of the need to constantly compare ourselves to others and focus on our own happiness and well-being. Another benefit of being average is that it allows us to be more authentic and genuine. When we're not trying to impress anyone or live up to unrealistic expectations, we can be our true selves and express ourselves freely. This can lead to stronger relationships and a deeper sense of connection with others. So, how can you become the most average version of yourself? Start by letting go of the need to be perfect and accepting that it's okay to make mistakes. Also, focus on what brings you joy and fulfillment, rather than what you think you "should" be doing. And remember to be grateful for what you have, rather than constantly striving for more. In conclusion, becoming the most average version of yourself is about letting go of the pressure to be exceptional and embracing mediocrity. By doing so, you can find a sense of peace and fulfillment, and be more authentic and genuine in your relationships. Thanks for tuning in to the "Zen Quest Daily" podcast.

    6: Perfection Vs Performance

    # Perfection Vs Performance All my life I have been driven by the idea that perfection will lead to success. I could not be more wrong. Perfection is pointless or endless. There is no point where you can say something is perfect. Everything in this Universe, including the Universe is growing, evolving and nothing is perfect. So... striving for perfection is an endless pursuit. Many may find amusing and might even have the luxury to entertain it.  However for those who are trying to build something, create something new, change something for good, it is performance that will make this happen and not perfection. Imagine you are trying to write a book, and get it published. You have not published anything ever before. This is your debut. If you set your goal as - to publish the most perfect version of your book, the perfect  content and the perfect title and the perfect cover, etc, etc....; you are most likely to be in an endless loop of iterations. You will always find something to fix or change to make it better On the other hand if you focus on performance,  performance can be defines as - *the action or process of performing a task or function,*  you are most likely to get the book out in a reasonable time frame.

4: Why do my plans fail?

Why do my plans fail? The Akrasia Effect: Why We Make Plans but Don't Follow Through Akrasia is the state of acting against your better judgment. It is when you do one thing even though you know you should do something else. Loosely translated, you could say that _akrasia_ is procrastination or a lack of self-control. Akrasia is what prevents you from following through on what you set out to do.

3: How to get things done and overcome procrastination?

Procrastination is the act of delaying or putting off tasks until the last minute, or past their deadline. Some researchers define procrastination as a "form of self-regulation failure characterized by the irrational delay of tasks despite potentially negative consequences. 2: Always aim for bigger, better and higher

Hello world! Always aim for bigger, better and higher. That is what I used to do and that is what I used to get. However, somewhere down the line, I forgot how to dream big and I started compromising. I tried to find joy and happiness in the mediocre and mundane. I was never happy. I knew there was something missing. There was always something missing. I must stop thinking mediocre and start dreaming large. Life is one and I don't think I will get another chance at it. So this is it! Dream large, live large and be happy. #mantra - Dream BIG!

1: The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.

It goes like this...“The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.”  This Chinese proverb means that a person must begin his or her journey to reach their goal or destination. It is a motivational proverb that expresses deep insight about determination and avoiding procrastination.  In other words, this expression tells that the great things commence with simple beginnings. A Journey of a Thousand Miles Begins with a Single Step” is a saying by an ancient Chinese philosopher, Lao Tzu.  Whenever I have something daunting and big and scary, I try and tell myself, just got to take the first step, and we will see. and more often than not, it works.
