It’s beyond pathetic for the highest office in America to be so cringe with how they hold themselves. ​•• The “Gavinor” Gavin Newsom social media/PR team is petty and catty AF but we’re ALL for it because it is the “MAGA language” that they only understand. We all tried it the old, nice PC “Politically Correct” way and it didn’t work. And the old Democratic way hasn’t worked for YEARS. Trolling a Troll and giving them their “own medicine” is the way things are now apparently in society and deep in politics. It’s sad but true.Good Grief, Charlie Brown! ​•• “You Can’t Bring a Knife to a Gunfight” mentality and why Voting YES for Prop 50 in California is an absolute MUST to counterbalance the rigging of what Texas has done. Gerrymandering is never a good idea under “normal” times. However we are NOT in normal days anymore and we all have to be realistic about that fact. ​•• The RFK Jr. Hearings began and they are not good - as we predicted! ​•• The West Coast states create a Coalition to keep responsible CDC healthcare information and awareness going! ​•• The National Guard was illegally and unconstitutionally deployed on another part of American soil and city: Chicago . Interesting how they’re only sent to blue cities where it’s known there are “Trump’s enemies” who are in opposition of him for ethical and legal reasons. How is this not Hitler like behavior and strategy? Have you watched the ‘Rise of Hitler’ documentaries?? (Please DO if you haven’t!) ​•• What is “T.D.S.” aka Trump Derangement Syndrome exactly? It is a gaslighting abuse technique by GOP / MAGA supporters who stole a made up, non-medical, opposition rhetoric, originally from the Bush Era, and adapted it. People use it to dismiss and try to lamely gaslight Trump critics, and the people who hold him accountable by his choices and actions, because they can’t actually converse or debate the facts with them nor do they value any real ethics. Another reason why education and learning the definition of words matter. ​••The ‘Supreme’ Court allows I.C.E. to continue their unlawful and illegal actions against human and civil rights in Los Angeles. Only 3 of the judges dissented (guess who those 3 were and whom actually do their f^cking job correctly. ) ​•• I.C.E arrest workers at Hyundai plant, treat them inhumanely even though they were under contract for being in the U.S. and working there! Because it’s important to document life especially during historical and unprecedented times. It’s how we study, learn and, hopefully, grow in the future as a society. Topics covered and discussed include: - Trump’s unconstitutional deportation plans are not based in reality for the size he says he wants it done, let alone the fact that the action of it is beyond unconscionable, inhumane treatment of human beings and tax-paying citizens. Millions of people will be harmed by these actions of deportation and it’s very dehumanizing and unacceptable on so many levels. Deportation does not need to be inhumane and positive border security reform IS plausible. But NOT like this. - Updates on the Luigi Mangione vigilante case starts and he arrives in New York City for the murder of the CEO. Where does it go from here? - How do We The People trust the judicial system anywhere now when judges are so transparent, corrupt and their actions keep showing support for fascism? -Is there going to be a government shutdown because they cannot come to an agreement by 2025?     EP. 218 - WE The People Need to stay ACTIVE and Stop Being A F*cking HYPOCRITES.

    Welcome back to The Late Night Lockdown! Uff da! It's been a rough several weeks for everyone, hasn't it? You're not alone. Originally recorded in October 2024, (please forgive the noise of our much needed Air Conditioner running in the background that day) - On this episode, our co-hosts, Amiee and Matthew, get back to focusing and conversing over several social issues that need to be acknowledged and discussed. The better and more often we openly talk about these things the better we can understand each other and have educated opinions to then find realistic solutions. The People Need to stay ACTIVE and Americans Need to Stop Being F*cking HYPOCRITES. Staying active with Democratic engagement is a must at ALL times, not just when it is convenient for you or when it just directly affects you. It's not just a season you care about for a bit and then swipe it away for the remainder of the year. Your votes and your educated knowledge on important matters that directly affect tax-payers/citizens lives, including your very own, is WHY your votes matter. If you don't care who represents you and what they do with that power, than you get the charlatans and frauds with bad leadership which is then a ripple effect that directly affects people's lives. Staying active matters because, whether you like Politics or not, it doesn't care: Politics will and does affect your daily life 365 days a year. We know, we know! It CAN be so boring, BUT if it directly affects your life and your loved ones, don't you WANT to know what the f*ck is going on? Realistically, we all live in a gigantic 'World Chess Game' and we're watching live in action right now. What started our country in the first place? Taxation WITHOUT Representation. So WHY do we still have places that are American but don't do this?? ie Washington DC, Puerto Rico, etc. Other topics on this episode include Women's rights and our bodily autonomy education for all ages so that we can be an educated and compassionate society instead of a hateful, judging one. And the Book Review segment covers: The Diary of Anne Frank - a must read for EVERYONE if you haven't already, and especially right now. The similarities between then and now is very concerning beyond words and something we all should be aware of and acknowledging the facts of as we start this new administration.     The Late Night Lockdown is back and our hosts, Amiee & Matthew, come back from their long summer hiatus with their last “finale” past recording from June 27, 2024 covering the Alito Lies and investigative journalist Lauren Windsor’s interview (June 13, 2024) on DemocracyNow! , the First Presidential Debate this year with THE “two old men” and the illogical deep Racism still very much embedded in America today. Everyone is exhausted and you can feel it in our daily society. The entertainment review portion includes Apple TVs historical dramas: “Franklin” starring Michael Douglas as the beloved Founding Father working in Paris to help the American Revolution and “The Manhunt” starring Tobias Menzies as U.S. Secretary of War Edwin Stanton and Anthony Boyle as the infamous John Wilkes Booth during the aftermath of the first American presidential assassination, Abraham Lincoln, and the fight to preserve and protect the ideals that were the foundation of Lincoln's Reconstruction plans.
