    So you're feeling lonely...

    During the current situation of the pandemic, it's easy to fall into the feeling of being alone and believing that you have no one who truly cares for you. In this episode, Ally talks about what it was like for her to experience loneliness during quarantine. She touches on the kinds of things that led up to her feelings of loneliness, the factors that go into being lonely, and gives her advice on activities that she thinks the listener could potentially do to get past that lonely feeling. Ally reminds everybody listening that you are not alone. There is always someone who wants to see you succeed, including herself and if you ever need someone to talk to, she's always here.     Embracing the change

    The future is unpredictable and oftentimes, a very scary thing to think about... especially for young people. It's easy to get in your head and overthink the choices you have to make that may seriously alter your life. In this episode, Ally talks about the most recent changes to her life and how to stay open minded and optimistic about what's to come! Sometimes it feels like life is moving too fast and you can't keep up; Ally is here to remind you to slow down and take a breath. It's not worth your time or energy, stressing about something that hasn't happened yet. Instead, spend your time focusing on the present moment and put your energy into the things you're passionate about. Now is the time for change, let go and allow it to happen.     Fakes & Snakes

    Throughout our lifetimes, we will meet thousands and thousands of people; some of whom you will go on to create friendships with. No matter who they are or where you met them, it can be challenging, distinguishing whether a person has true intentions with you or not. Figuring out if a person is your friend because they genuinely care for you, or because of some other ultimatum, is one of the most confusing things to go through by yourself. During this episode, your host Ally, talks about this confusing time and tells you what to look for in a person that may have dishonest intentions with you. She shares stories about fake friends she's had in the past, along with things she's learned along the way in order to ensure her friends, from now on, are one-hundred percent genuine. Ally also mentions what it's like to cut fake friends off and to have no choice but to spend a lot of time alone. It's time to be honest with yourself, figure out who is in your life for the right reasons, and start making decisions about what you want to do with those who aren't.     Mastering the art of self-love

    When you look in the mirror, do you like what you see? This week on One Day at a Time, Ally talks about how to change the potential “no” you answered that question with, to a yes. Liking the way you look can be really challenging when you live in a society so focused on what's on the outside more than what's on the inside. In this episode, Ally goes through multiple reasons why this may be happening; why you may feel like it’s impossible to love yourself these days, and offers numerous suggestions for how you might begin to improve your self-image. The real key is to figure out what it is that’s making you think these negative thoughts about yourself and to simply let it go. Listen today to learn more.     Why I've been M.I.A

    *PLEASE READ DESCRIPTION* There's nothing harder than admitting that you're not okay and need help. I've been procrastinating making an episode to tell you guys whats been going on for sometime now, and I dont want to leave you hanging anymore, so I figured this is the best way to communicate with you without actually physically communicating. To be completely honest, I haven't figured out exactly whats been holding me back from making new episodes but I've stayed silent for too long now and I feel as if many of you deserve an explanation. Probably about a month ago, my mental health started getting bad. I was having a lot of negative thoughts surrounding fear of the unknown, which was causing me horrible anxiety, a type of pain in my stomach I've never felt before (as my anxiety manifests through my stomach). I started beating myself up about having this much anxiety because I didn't know what was causing it or how to get rid of it, and so my mental health kept getting worse each day. For the past month it feels like I've been battling my own mind, I cant seem to group my thoughts together and get them all down in an organized way, I stress myself out with things I know I "should" be doing versus things I want to do, I keep on going back on my word, doing and saying things that are contradicting each other, in general it feels like I'm going crazy. I will make an actual episode going more in depth about everything thats been going on because I think this information and these things that I'm learning about myself are important to share with you guys. But for now I just wanted to finally let you know a little about whats been happening with me and my mental health right now and tell you that I do want to continue making episodes and do everything I can to help others, but first I need to help myself and make sure I'm in a good place to continue the podcast. Thank you to everyone who's asked about the podcast and where I've been, I hope to make new episodes very soon. Literally just writing all of this out, has motivated me so much to make another episode. Peace, love and happiness everyone. Talk to you soon.

If you’re reading this, I want to start out by saying thank you, for giving this a chance and clicking on the teaser episode. I have created this podcast with the only intention of making people smile. I have gone through some pretty hard things throughout my life, as I predict most of you reading this have; with this podcast, I hope to shed some light on how I was able to move past a lot of those hardships. Remember that you never have to go through your struggles by yourself, I promise that there's at least one person who cares. And if you're thinking to yourself right now, “that's not true, I'm completely alone,” well you're not anymore.
