There are now 4.20 billion social media users around the world. This figure has grown by 490 million over the past 12 months, delivering year-on-year growth of more than 13 percent. The number of social media users is now equivalent to more than 53 percent of the world’s total population. With the addition of cancel culture followed by the idealisation of social perfection, are we as a generation losing touch to humanity?

    Say No To The Knife!

    Hi Listeners Todays segment is based around the rising deaths in youth knife crime. Joining us on this podcast will be Theodore Hoffman and Rebecca Malone. Knife crime in England and Wales rose to its highest level since comparable statistics began to be gathered nine years ago, with London reporting a 28% annual rise in knife killings over the past year. Offences involving knives or sharp instruments in England and Wales rose 6% to 46,265 in the year to March 2020, 51% higher than when comparable figures began in 2011, according to police data published on Friday by Britain's Office for National Statistics. The UK currently holds some of the highest related knife crime statistics and deaths. Since post lockdown, knife crime has increased by 93%. We will be exploring various scenarios of what the problems could possibly be in todays society and how we can support our young people.

Image and cultural representation is incredibly important and having these open discussions may broaden your horizons to different black profiles that are not affiliated with the usual stigma's that we see in the media.

    Hi Listeners! This podcast will be based around my families history working within the bar and entertainment industry. I was privileged to learn and understand business at a very young age through the guidance of my grandparents ( Manley "Gaffa" & Vera Arthurs "Mumi") The most important values i learned was how to communicate and speak to people from all walks of life and cultures. Considering our main family establishment was mainly Caribbean orientated, we made connections with so many people from around the world and was exposed to different versions of events.

    Masculinity V Fashion

    Hi Listeners  In this podcast, I will be looking at the role fashion plays in contributing to toxic masculinity through the likes of body image and fashion trend. This discussion will be based around mainly men who often self-regulate their own clothing choices to uphold masculine norms or regulate those of other men through name-calling, harassment and violence.  Many men engage in unhealthy and obsessive practices to endeavour an ideal masculine style  and showcase it through their clothes. I will be sharing my own personal experiences as well as pointing out how the fashion industry contributes to such issues.

In this segment,  i will be explaining the letter that i wrote to Kanye West and how his encounter changed my whole perception on mental health back in 2014.  After tackling severe depression in the early stages of my life; I would like to shed light on this situation and hopefully provide a new outlook on how we can support others.
