In this podcast series, I will be taking on an environmental perspective to analyze South Asian media to hopefully show how the environment is always synergistically interacting with various social issues and identities. For the sake of making our discussion more substantive and meaningful, I will be tapping onto some theories and ideas from the field of Environmental Humanities.

Cuckoo! Cuckoo! Dive deep into the hit Tamil single Enjoy Enjaami in the first episode of Karthi Reviews! Learn more about the themes of human-nature entanglements, ancestry, indigeneity, and environmental justice that are present in the song. Also, listen to what it means to grief for lost nature, displaced identities, and culture through the song. Written and Presented by: Karthigan Ramatas Audio and Sound Engineer: Ashwin Seetharaman Recorded in Decibel Studios, Singapore All intro and outro music are sampled from Pixabay, royalty-free music. EDIT: I mentioned in the episode that the National Arts Council, Singapore had commissioned the Solliladanga Singapore Tamil literary podcast series (0:22-0:33). This is FALSE. National Arts Council supported the podcast series through a grant that my team and I applied for. This misrepresentation was not intentional and I sincerely apologize for it.
