David Bozell - From Rush Limbaugh to Digital Platforms: The Evolution of the Media Research Center

David Bozell discusses his family’s conservative political background in Washington, D.C., and how his father helped launch the Media Research Center after earlier work with NCPAC. He describes the MRC’s early years as resource-poor but focused on documenting media bias, including work at the 1988 conventions and support from donors and figures in conservative media. He also talks about the organization’s relationship with Rush Limbaugh, saying MRC supplied clips and documentation that supported Limbaugh’s on-air commentary. Bozell reflects on Limbaugh’s influence and on how conservative media grew through talk radio and strong messaging. Bozell then explains how MRC’s focus has shifted to digital platforms such as Apple News, Google News, Yahoo, and MSN, where he says the organization tracks the visibility of center-right voices. He closes by urging audiences to share content, contact news platforms about imbalance, and push for more conservative sources in mainstream distribution.   Connect with David 𝕏                        https://x.com/DavidBozell   Connect with Hearts of Oak… 𝕏                         x.com/HeartsofOakUK WEBSITE            heartsofoak.org/ PODCASTS        heartsofoak.podbean.com/ SOCIAL MEDIA  heartsofoak.org/connect/ SHOP                  heartsofoak.org/shop/ *Special thanks to Bosch Fawstin for recording our intro/outro on this podcast. Del Bigtree - Raw HighWire Conversations, ICAN Lawsuits & the Fight for Medical Freedom

Del Bigtree, founder and CEO of the Informed Consent Action Network and host of The HighWire, joins Hearts of Oak. He shares with us how The HighWire was created as an experiment in media that presents conversations without heavy pre-interview preparation or editing.  Del discusses his background as a television producer and the process of building ICAN, which reviews vaccine trial data and has filed numerous lawsuits against U.S. government agencies. He reflects on interviews with Andrew Wakefield and attorney Aaron Siri, and addresses the difference between reporting and taking direct action when needed. The conversation also covers Del's approach to decision-making, which he connects to intuition, prayer, and a sense of humility, as well as his observations on public debate and his involvement with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. Del Bigtree is an Emmy-winning television producer, filmmaker, and leading advocate for medical freedom and informed consent. A former producer for the CBS daytime hit The Doctors, he transitioned to independent journalism and filmmaking after becoming concerned about pharmaceutical influence and vaccine safety.  He produced the groundbreaking 2016 documentary Vaxxed: From Cover-Up to Catastrophe, which sparked global conversations on transparency in public health.  As host of the popular weekly program The HighWire, he reaches millions with investigative reporting on health policy, science, and individual rights.  Del serves as CEO of the Informed Consent Action Network (ICAN), a nonprofit dedicated to holding government agencies accountable through FOIA requests, litigation, and advocacy.  He also served as Communications Director for Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s 2024 presidential campaign and continues advancing the “Make America Healthy Again” (MAHA) initiative.  Passionate, articulate, and unafraid to challenge mainstream narratives, Del Bigtree is a powerful voice for parental choice, scientific integrity, and health sovereignty. Sabin Howard - From WWI Memorial to Grand Liberty Arch: History, Art and God

Acclaimed sculptor Sabin Howard returns to Hearts of Oak to discuss his ambitious new project, the Grand Liberty Arch — the monumental follow-up to his National World War I Memorial, which was unveiled in Washington, D.C. in September 2024. Sabin shares how the Grand Liberty Arch, designed for America’s 250th anniversary and slated for unveiling before the 2034 Winter Olympics in Utah, celebrates freedom, liberty, personal agency, and self-responsibility.  He explains why he chose to create the work independently in Utah after being granted land at the state capitol, and how raising over $2.3 million through a charitable foundation has allowed him to move forward with this massive bronze sculpture — three times the size of his previous memorial. Sabin also dives deep into his artistic philosophy, contrasting his classical, Renaissance-inspired approach — which elevates human dignity and tells a story like a “bronze movie” — with much of today’s modern art.  He speaks openly about the spiritual dimension of his work, the role of faith in giving him courage as an artist, and why he believes art should be public, purposeful, and rooted in the belief that human beings are made in the image of God. A compelling look at one artist’s mission to restore meaning, beauty, and heroism to public sculpture in America. Sabin Howard grew up in New York City and in Torino, Italy. He studied art at the Philadelphia College of Art and then earned his MFA from the New York Academy of Art.  For twenty years, he taught at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He has been elected to the board of the National Sculpture Society.  He has received numerous commissions and has showed his work at more than fifty solo and group shows. After 72,000 hours of working from life models in the studio, Sabin designed and created the hero’s journey that memorializes the courage and sacrifice of our veterans in WWI, and in all wars, in A Soldier’s Journey. He has created an illustrious body of work, including three heroic scale pieces, HERMES, APHRODITE, and APOLLO, as well as many smaller pieces.  His works are owned by museums and private collectors all over the world, and they have been favorably reviewed by USA Today, The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Epoch Times, American Artist, Fine Arts Connoisseur, American Arts Collector, and The New Criterion, as well as many other journals internationally.  He is an accomplished public speaker and is the subject of several television profiles.
