    Oracle: Meet Sandra Wasseur

Sandra is the Senior Marketing Director Technology for Northern Europe at Oracle and has been working there for a very impressive 20 years! Now I do not think I need to explain what Oracle does, as it’s only one of the world's leading tech companies in cloud technology, but in a nutshell they are a fortune 500 company with more than 100,000 employees worldwide and provide organizations around the world with computing infrastructure and software to help them innovate, unlock efficiencies, and become more effective. Sandra plays an active role at Oracle to promote the careers of women in technology however she is much more than her career at Oracle. She is not someone who you will find in the kitchen cooking as while she loves to eat great food, making it does not necessarily give her much pleasure. She would much rather spend her time giving back and playing her part in the community and does so with an active role in the political party D66 as well as in the rotary- which is not something for older retired men, but she will explain that more. I am excited to have Sandra here today because she has a very direct and outspoken perspective on what it takes to build a successful international career as a woman, as well as what the necessary personality traits and capabilities are to get there. By alternating every month between guests from a more technical background, as we saw last month with Sharon and Ana, with that of a more commercial role such as Sandra, I hope to offer different perspectives to you listeners. One of the ambitions behind the SpotCast is to cast a light on the different individual stories and opinions, and I am excited to provide you with that of Sandra, as she is a woman with a long career and tech and therefore has seen the industry change over the years.
