Off the Deep End is a podcast featuring two friends who discuss strange people and stranger communities. Each episode seeks to discuss weird online creators and communities and their cult-like appeal, occasionally featuring members or content creators from those very communities. To discover exactly what makes these obsessive people tick, hosts Luke and Preston bypass the "echo chamber" and go straight for the throat, uncovering things about themselves, their friends, and the internet community at large.

The second most popular streamer on the entire platform is an anime rabbit that plays video games. Few know their names, fewer know what they look like. You won't see them on any "Top Ten Most Popular YouTubers" WatchMojo videos, nor will you ever see them on the "Trending" tab. They're called "vtubers," and work for a company called "Hololive." What caused this strange phenomenon, where did this company come from, and why are their fans so obsessive?
