    Ghost Theory: Are We Haunting Ourselves?

    What if ghosts aren't exactly what we've always believed them to be? What if some of the spirits we encounter are actually remnants of ourselves, left behind from previous lifetimes? After six years of paranormal investigating, our understanding of ghosts, spirits, and the unexplained has continued to evolve. The more we experience, the more questions we seem to have. In this episode of Hidden in the Shadows, we're doing something a little different.     What Lurks in the Treeline: Phenomena of Camp Lejeune & Onslow County (Part 3)

    Camp Lejeune has its fair share of ghost stories, but after years of investigating the area and hearing experiences from Marines and locals, we've started wondering if there's more to these hauntings than just the military base itself. In Haunted Camp Lejeune Part 3, we take things a little further by looking into the history of Onslow County, North Carolina, and what was here long before Camp Lejeune was established. We share some of the things uncovered while researching the area's past, including early settlements, slavery, the turpentine industry, displaced families, and old burial grounds. Some of this history isn't talked about nearly as much as you might think, and it raises some interesting questions about the experiences people continue to report today. We also had an overwhelming response to a TikTok post asking locals and Marines to share their paranormal experiences. With over 140 comments, there were plenty of stories to go through, and some of them were pretty unsettling.
