Urban Planning for Everyone

I think there is only 1 episode but there should be more. Great conversation about planning and there is so much more topics to cover. As a US urban planner living abroad in the EU, travel to the EU and see the human scale and walkability there, look into the Netherlands and how they turned roads into canals in Amsterdam and places like Houten that was designed for bikes and walking first and cars later. Living here I have to say it is much easier to travel by bike for smaller trips. Also changes to built environments take funding and can be generational to see the changes. It is possible with the proper vision and leadership. I think there are studies done about how removing car access and the parking actually benefits small businesses.
