Dr. Huffstead has extensive experience providing individual, group, and couples counseling through multiple university counseling centers and community mental health centers during his training and as a professional. Dr. Huffstead’s clinical specialties include: anxiety, depression, stress management, anger management, adjustment concerns, family concerns, relationship concerns, interpersonal concerns, academic concerns, men’s issues, trauma, suicide prevention, work with athletes, and work with military veterans. Deniss is also an adjunct professor at Pacific Oaks College where she helps shape culturally competent and trauma informed therapists. Inside and outside of the therapy office, she covers mental health issues that take into account BIPOC cultural experiences: from family dynamics and generational trauma to boundary setting and work-life balance.
